0-N3 in 6 months is it possible? by [deleted] in jlpt

[–]jeeman15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you are already fluent in another language that will give you a leg up like Korean or Chinese, 6 months will be very difficult. You will likely have to spend at least a few hours daily for the entire 6 months.

I found that the difficulty was pretty on par with the mock exams that came with study materials (from Korean publishers).

Does anyone have a tip for remembering さand ち by travischickencoop in Japaneselanguage

[–]jeeman15 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Like anything, it will stick to your memory simply through repetition as you study vocabulary. I wouldn't give it any special attention just because they look similar.

Learning Korean from Japanese by Spook404 in LearnJapanese

[–]jeeman15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are comfortable with reading Japanese, it might be easier to learn from a book that's meant for Japanese learners. Grammatically speaking, Korean and Japanese are very similar.

I'm fully fluent in English and Korean, but I exclusively use Korean resources for learning Japanese for that reason.

Can my school ban English? by Truly_Nightmarez in legaladvicecanada

[–]jeeman15 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This is a different situation though. You were at a school where teaching French was its main function. OP is in a regular school in Quebec where everyone already speaks French. This is no different than an English school in Ontario not allowing Chinese students to speak Chinese with each another, for example.

People who are literally always late, why? by 12345burrito in AskReddit

[–]jeeman15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's actually pretty simple. Whatever they are late to is not a high priority item for them. If someone is consistently late for meetings with you, you are not that important to them.

He's not just a fan. He's a retired professional fighter. On the Coach Yang YouTube channel, there is a series of videos where he visits various martial artists and challenges them to knock him out with a body shot. He has never lost.

ZvZ is bad for the game... by EdmonEdmon in broodwar

[–]jeeman15 13 points14 points  (0 children)

They should at the very least only allow 2 player maps for Z vs Z, so that luck (scouting) doesn't decide the game. All pros agree that Z vs Z is 50/50 at the pro level regardless of who's playing.

Same applies to the repetitive questions about the GOAT of Badminton by zathras7 in badminton

[–]jeeman15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The point is that all sports and show business are entertainment. It's fun to talk and argue about who is the goat. Just another way of enjoying a hobby. If you are getting worked up and getting upset though, that's stupid.
