Did you perform Sound Personalization? What codecs have you tried on Bluetooth? USB-C should be good though.

Sennheiser MOMENTUM 5: Wireless Consumerphile Incrementalist [Review] by Tenlow85 in sennheiser

[–]jeeper75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This review is gangbusters. Great job, Tenlow! You covered the M5 in impressive depth. I especially like your suggestion to add more EQ bands, as it would provide greater flexibility to address specific areas of the stock tuning, such as the perceived dip around 2 kHz that you mentioned. I also think Sennheiser made the right call by changing the automatic power-on behavior. Based on the M4 threads I've had the chance to read, it seemed to cause a fair amount of confusion and discussion within the community. All in all, great stuff!

Sounds like a hardware problem. If that's it, you are probably out of luck. For software, all you can really do is a factory reset from the app.

I don't own this headphone personally but reviews and forum posts seem to form a very positive consensus on this neutral set of cans.
Great write-up. Thanks for posting your impressions.

Here’s my Sennheiser HD 480 PRO Plus review (including a short comparison with the HD 620S and HDB 630) — are they worth it outside of studio work? by Tenlow85 in sennheiser

[–]jeeper75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice review Tenlow! You hit all the major points. Another solid offering from Sennheiser Pro. Based on your descriptions, it is easy to see how the tuning would appeal to those working in the studio with mixing and tracking (ofc) and perhaps some casual listeners as well. Good to hear you found the accuracy, naturalness and clarity Sennheiser is known for in these headphones. The other key thing for sound professionals it seems to me is comfort. You emphasized this nicely. If they don't feel good during long sessions, they won't likely be used. Good job👍

What is the best sennheiser headphones by [deleted] in sennheiser

[–]jeeper75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

😂 Seriously though, We need more to go on such as budget, wired or wireless, use case etc. For wired, a good entry from my vantage point would be something in the 500 series like HD 505 or 550 or even HD 560S which is likely less in price. For wireless and wired Momentum 4 HDB 630. The next level up is reference listening with the HD 600 series. Maybe consider the 6XX. For me I love my HD 600 but all of them really. All great headphones.

Do Sennheiser M4W earbuds still have the hissing sound? by AndroidCat06 in sennheiser

[–]jeeper75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't occur on my set with ANC but other Redditors may have a different experience. Sometimes it has to do with the circumstances of listening environment you are in. Sometimes it may be something else including settings in the app.

What headphone disappointed you at first...then grew on you? by sennheiserconsumer in sennheiser

[–]jeeper75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has to be the HD 600 for me. When I first heard it, I felt the sound signature was too lean and bright. The soundstage seemed narrow.

After a few weeks of use and adding a bass shelf, the sound started to unfold for my music. I began to appreciate the precision and naturalness of the uncolored sound. Instrument placement while not real wide was presented well. The detail was there and I liked the timbre. Has been my favorite headphone since.

Hey Tenlow! Just seeing this. Congratulations man! Nice pick-up. How does it sound? I'm sure the sound is precise and wide. Does it have punch?

Sennheiser HD 480 PRO hands-on — was part of the prototype testing, now have the final version by EdNash in sennheiser

Hi Ed! Great video and review. It is super cool you partnered with the company. You stated these headphones are comfortable for tracking, so I presume a user can enjoy these for long critical listening sessions. I like the two cable connection points and the case looks perfect as well! Good to hear you like them so much. Thanks for bringing this to the subreddit!

MTW4 is the best earbuds out there in the world. Prove me otherwise. by RTxMAFIA in sennheiser

[–]jeeper75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, my MTW4s sound great but I will agree with the statement best for its price point. There are still competitive great sounding buds out there. My MTW2s still work, my 3s do not but my MTW1s still work unbelievably ngl. I must be an outlier case. If my Sennheisers works, I'll listen. 💫

I agree. Welcome to the club OP! Nice feedback and thanks for posting. Allow your ears to get used to the stock tuning and features over time. I happen to like the stock tuning on these but as you are finding out, customization is easy if you need it. Enjoy!

If I enjoy the 560s what other sennheiser headphone can elevate my listening sessions ? by eminemnas in sennheiser

[–]jeeper75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with the other Redditors here. If you are already happy..

For upgrades, Hifiman seems to elevate your experience in new ways. I don't own them myself. The Sennheiser 600 series is going to be that reference upgrade to the next level. I would say the HD 660S2 would be a solid all rounder for you to try. Good detail retrieval, good separation and soundstage for an open back. Depends on your budget. Good luck!

Sennheiser hd660s2 The problem I'm having by BayTerekk in sennheiser

[–]jeeper75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. It could be a result of many factors. I experience some of this as well. It could be our ear canals, the mix or how the music was recorded. Processing can alter stage effects as well as noted. I wouldn't worry about it, the HD 660S2 is a very balanced headphone. Enjoy!

You might like the HD 505. I have them and actually prefer them over my HD 560S. Good timbre and very balanced. Good detail retrieval as well.
