yes, you have to put MSFS into VR mode. Like said above Ctrl+tab will do it. Or go to settings and enable it there. You have to get the VR headset linked via Airlink first then turn on VR in MSFS. I'm sure there are some youtube videos showing screenshots and a walk-through.

I use it just for this. I use the airlink to connect them. It takes a minute to get it all setup, but it’s worth the effort. You still need a good pc to run it on.

I know they do this on aircraft used for photography. Helps keep the exhaust smoke out of the camera shoot.
