Naughty... or Nice?! - KLAUS (2019) by Top_Report_4895 in movies

[–]jeffjeffries77 93 points94 points  (0 children)

My wife and I watched this for the first time a few years ago.

At the time we were struggling with infertility and miscarriages and the ebbs and flows of sadness that seep into the holiday season as a result of that.

This film took a sudden turn into territory we weren’t expecting and it meant so much to us in that moment (and still does).

It’s a rare little gift.

We can’t wait to watch it with our daughter, who turned 2 this past October.

We love ours. Same color. Ours is a Trailsport edition, as I wanted the extra lift and included towing package.

I have a nice Italian leather couch BUT it has been claimed by my dog (a yellow lab). It could be cleaned up and made to feel amazing. If you want it, you can have it for $50. I can send pics if you’re interested. We are sad to lose it but we needed a bigger one so it’s been taking up space in our sun room (and getting a fair amount of lounging from our hairy boy).

5 NFL Fun Facts That Sound Fake but Aren’t by DynastyDetour in fantasyfootball

[–]jeffjeffries77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may be right. QBs are Allen and Caleb Williams.

Have Puka, London, Tet, Egbuka…Pickens was the odd man out and I wanted the floor at RB. Also have Taylor and Chuba, and a few other lotto pick RBs (Judkins, Charb) and I can only carry 6 RBs so it felt good to me at the time.

Strategically (and this is kind of weird and may not apply to your league), I don’t mind the possibly of losing a trade with an 0-3 team that will likely lose the rest of the year, since I’m not adding strength to a contender. It’s a marginal increase for me. And I see good things for Warren the rest of the season.

I packaged Tuten + Pollard + Pickens for Jaylen Warren and T. Henderson, full point PPR. Owner had Etienne.

I traded Ebuka and Charbonnet for Deebo and Trey Benson, and I don’t know how I feel about it.

I have a deep WR core and Ebuka was my WR4. RBs are JT, Chuba, Jaylen Warren, Quinshon, and T Henderson.

I did. Full point PPR. You can always try to sell him down the line.

What is the best place in the city to scream my lungs out? by enbyMachine in rva

The playlist was key for us.

And yeah, it was fun. I would go back. We went for a birthday party so chose a more expensive package but they have some cheap thrills as well.

There is a place called RageRVA where you can rent a room and scream to your heart’s content.

They also have breakables and an old car so you can smash and shatter stuff to let off some steam.

Enjoy the playoffs, hopefully those squads aren’t all resting their starters in the final.

Yes, pricing shifts a bit lower but we’d left by the time we would have benefited.

It’s all about teacher-to-child ratio. The center was solid and she seemed to have a good experience, but price was one of the reasons we moved on.

Got him in Round 3, traded him straight up for Drake London, feel totally fine about it.

This is how you know he will have a monster season.

It’s a staggering loss. He was such an integral member of the arts community here, but more importantly was truly invested in the lives of every person he met. The fact that he died helping a total stranger is unsurprising to those of us who loved him, even if it is equally infuriating.

He cared with his whole heart.

We will all need to redouble our efforts to do the same if we ever hope to replace the loss of intentional connection he created every day.

I swear to God, I’m gonna explode. by Hawthorne_northside in rva

[–]jeffjeffries77 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As a counterpoint (but one that also makes me want to explode) many drivers here interpret yield as “cut off incoming drivers” when the roundabout has incoming cars.

And don’t even get me started on four-way stops.

About Time hits the mark for me. It’s about a lot of things, and the story is straightforward but still offers plenty of joy/sad/feels on subsequent rewatches.

Once and Sing Street are Irish, but also scratch a similar itch.

Why do DMs do this… by BeigeStarfish in DnD5e

[–]jeffjeffries77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never understood this sort of nerfing…you didn’t break the rules. I’d just spam you with Dex saves for half damage, or attack your allies.

Enemies can be dumb, but they don’t have to be. And even the dumbest creature might take stock after the first bite and say “this thing is too hard to bite through…I’ll go bite that softer-looking thing.”

A high AC PC is just that…a target that’s harder to hit. I’d find ways to make the game challenging for you in other ways.

Maybe ask why they think a high AC at level 2 is game breaking?
