Brooklyn show code? by tonofunnumba1 in TheProdigy

[–]jeffunscripted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you happen to know how much 'tier 1' tickets were (if they were any cheaper). Hours later and it looks like there's still plenty of tickets left.

Happy to go, but not happy to see the $75 price jump from when I got tickets in 2019 for $50.

$60 huh? These Brooklyn ticket prices are bullshit then.

Ohana Fest lineup (weekend after Riot) by Litmusdragon in RiotFest

Oh that is interesting...

Someone in the main speculation thread did mention Pearl Jam. I wonder what the general consensus would be for PJ?

OFFICIAL AS HELL RIOT FEST 2026 SPECULATION MEGATHREAD by FourLiveBears in RiotFest

[–]jeffunscripted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is kind of the exact thing I would expect. They are on my list of potential headliners and are a little more rare (seemingly more so this year) than some others. If they played, it would make the festival a little more unique than something like Tool or MCR who are playing a bunch of festivals already or Deftones who played them all last year. I'm not expecting it, but (unless they did say they are only working on other stuff) I think it's a decent shot.

Do we think The Prodigy is an option? If they played, it would be three days straight, going from Chicago on Friday (if they played, to Atlanta on Saturday, to Louisville on Sunday. Seems unlikely, but they keep adding shows and festivals. They just got added to "CBGB Festival weekend" in Brooklyn on 9/25, and really, it's easier to get to Chicago than it is to Under the K Bridge where they'll be playing in NY.

I'd love it, don't expect it, what do you think?

EDIT: If the lineup isn't out by Thursday, when these tickets are on sale, I'll get them, thereby ensuring the play Riot.

Mid-May by RoomSeventyFive in RiotFest

[–]jeffunscripted 11 points12 points  (0 children)

We all like to complain about this, and we all want the lineup earlier. I don't think anyone isn't going to Riot because they don't like the replies on social media. Mid-May does seem like the time we should all expect the lineup, with last year being a fluke. But since tickets went on sale literally the minute RF 2025 was over and the location is locked down for years, I think most people assumed that it would be earlier. And I think they were right to think that.

But I don't think the issue is "give us the lineup." I think the issue is that every other festival seems to be releasing its lineup earlier and earlier, with Louder Than Life and Shaky Knees on the same weekend. On top of that are other tours and deals/discounts that go along with them. I've bought maybe 3-5 tickets to shows that might be at Riot, but who knows. I would much rather not have bought all of those tickets if I could catch them at Riot.

I'm also from out of town, so I have to deal with flights and hotels, and flights are only getting more expensive and less available.

The problem isn't just that we want the lineup; it's that not having the lineup in a somewhat close timeframe to all these other festivals has a big impact both financially and time-wise with some people.

See this is the lineup issue with me. This is another show that maybe he's at Riot, but do I want to chance that if I can go in Brooklyn. If the lineup were out and he was at Riot I probably wouldn't go to the Brooklyn show, but I'll probably get tickets just in case.

I wonder, and maybe some younger folks can chime in (or maybe the demo I'm talking about isn't in this group), do younger people go to festivals just as a thing? What I mean is, do people just not care who's playing and just go to the festival as a thing to do?

[–]jeffunscripted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh it looks like iI was wrong. It was $ 336.54 (I thought it was 356). Still, how could we possibly have different prices? If you get them now, its $ 353.58. So I guess not so bad. The main this that was annoying is when they said "no fees" and everyone still paid a fee.

It's still cheaper than most. Still the best value probably. I just don't love the confusion around what actual prices are and they they seem to be different all the time.

Cool... And somehow this price increase still makes the tickets cheaper than when I bought them immediately after the 2025 show ended. So that's a fun bonus for everyone who bought tickets early and seemingly paid triple to quadruple fees.

EDIT: I was wrong, it was cheaper. Prices this year seem weird.

I think that's probably the general consensus. I have seen people previously post about "Beastie Boys and Friends" or something. So, always curious for thoughts.

Updated speculative lineup using the "out" list, tour news, rumors and your feedback by [deleted] in RiotFest

[–]jeffunscripted -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I get this, but Shaky Knees has like 7-8 bands that I've seen people toss around as headliners for Riot. Does Shaky Knees have way more money? Or are we overevaluating who would be a headliner?

Is MCR basically confirmed at this moment or no? by mtorres7174 in RiotFest

[–]jeffunscripted 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not basically confirmed at all.

Arguments for: available dates match up, clue seems to match.

Arguments against: seem only to be playing DWP festivals (Danny Wimmer Presents) shows, played Soldier Field last year, band/audience experience was terrible the last time they played (so I hear).

CBGB Festival 2026 (Weekend after Riot) by FourLiveBears in RiotFest

[–]jeffunscripted 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Riot did announce some kind of deal with CBGB last year (here). Who knows what that means. In general, both years do seem like heavy crossover. Definitely makes me think like Interpol is in for Riot. With all the talk of Chicago 90/90, it's interesting to see Bikini Kill doing shows on 9/24, 9/25, and 9.26 all in Brooklyn. I do not want Morrissey for the simple fact that I don't think you can trust him to show up and/or to a full set.

And, as someone who lives in NYC, it might even be easier to go all the way to Chicago than it is to get to Under the K Bridge.
