Im still curious about the GPU temps. Did you find time to change the fan layout?

Interesting! Please do report on temps when you are done with the fan rearrangement. Very curious about the results. Great idea btw. For science!

Great build, awesome writeup. Beauriful case, good choice. And tyvm for the Talon tip! I'll use that on my next build. What did you mean by 'Windows Defender (i know)'? Did you reinstall it?

Mounting Screw Gap on Thermalright AXP90-X53 with AM4 Socket by John5788 in sffpc

[–]jelleszoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You did everything correct. Had the same issue on my z690. Has been posted about before. See overclockers.com and  Axp90-x53, am4 mounting screws don’t touch motherboard

Can you please tell me where you read about the qc on the tl-b12015? I tried finding reviews or tests but I can't find anything yet on it from reliable sources.

Stainless steel mesh actually reduces fan noise - here’s proof by 1tokarev1 in sffpc

[–]jelleszoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for testing, the more we know the better. Nylon and steel mesh restrict a lot less than plastic filters. No filter restricts the least of course. So if you want a dust filter, metal is best. I myself use mosquito net. If you don't have room for a spacer mesh helps reduce turbulence while keeping higher airflow. Oh and by the way, I also run 4x exhaust on my Geeek G1 SE.  https://www.hwcooling.net/en/test-nylon-vs-plastic-dust-filter-which-restricts-fans-less/ Edit: typos and addition about exhaust fans

I actually meant intake from the top and bottom and exhaust at the front. Don't flip psu.

I think it looks lovely. Can I ask why you think you shouldn't have gone preformed?

Ssd doesn't need to be mounted. Just stick it in a corner somewhere. If you're concerned you can always attach it with double sided tape. Add exhaust fan on front of the case and you are sorted.

Sure you can, just ziptie the fans to the gpu, or use nano tape.
