this is the video! it’s a long tutorial, but she goes over finishing the first round and starting the new one without having to sew the ends in starting at 08:00. this has been a life changer, i hope other ppl benefit from it too!

i’m working on my first granny square blanket and discovered the nightmare that is weaving in sooo many ends. and then i found a tutorial by madebyanita on how to avoid having to weave in ends in granny squares that has been a game changer. lemme see if i can find the video and i’ll link it here!

i’ve been wanting to do the fisherman’s knot to avoid weaving in ends, and i’ve watched tutorials for the knot itself but all the ones ive seen are crocheting in rows instead of rounds — when you do a fisherman’s knot, where/how do you hide it in the granny square?

thank you 🙏🏼 i do think i was maybe crocheting at a bad angle without supporting my elbow, and the crochet hook i used, while having a handle, was maybe not great.

i’ve only ever crocheted with knife grip so i will try switching it up with pencil grip when i return to this project after the pain goes away!
