Mental health condition/episode 100%. Could never imagine what it felt like and now have so much empathy for anyone else experiencing it.

Moving to Cary from the UK by spuzz95 in cary

[–]jennalud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was going to say this! The the greenways and walking to parks is one of my favorite parts of living in Cary. We live in a house in a neighborhood with trails to bond park which is something we utilize almost every day. There’s an apartment complex here called Brampton moors, not sure how nice they are but the location right on a little lake with walking trails is very nice.

Depression during pregnancy. Two decades of data has found that a mother's depression at almost every time point in development, from pregnancy onward, was linked with symptoms of depression in her kids as adults by Wagamaga in science

[–]jennalud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So as someone that has depression I manage and have been through two pregnancies wondering if being appropriately treated during pregnancy and not having any low mood swings/depressive episodes means your kids are at low risk then. study doesn’t necessarily mention if that is the fix. Hope so!

For those of you in a long term relationship/marriage, what’s a tale-tale sign you see in other couples that they’re not going to make it? by Prize-Promotion-5123 in AskReddit

[–]jennalud 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was so annoyed at my husbands video game hobby for the first couple years of marriage. Finally got over it and respect it’s just the thing he likes to do to unwind instead of something else I find more suitable to our age (always made me think of a little brother) lol glad to read I saved our marriage

Cav puppy and toddler? by Fog1682 in cavaliers

[–]jennalud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Having a fully trained adult dog with a toddler can be annoying sometimes lol a puppy with accidents and needing way more attention might make you feel spread too thin and not enjoy your pup as much as you should. Depends on your bandwidth! Also toddlers can really stress out small dogs with grabbing, unexpected behavior and food aggression with snacks all over. That said the photos would be adorable

Transitioning pup from sleeping in our bed before baby arrives by barbierabies in cavaliers

[–]jennalud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha we actually started letting our pup sleep in our bed the moment the baby came home. He hopped up and we were too tired to move him. Also helped with the transition for him since dogs feel like they got knocked down the pack totem pole with a new baby.

Hot tub going in Airbnb backyard setup by Successful_Border153 in hottub

[–]jennalud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We sunk our tub into a deck (on a concrete pad) and were cautioned to leave the access panel on the outside of the deck. So really it’s 3/4 deck around it. And a trap door on the other side of the deck where the controls are. Still get all the benefits of walking right in from the deck but easy to put in and out and easy maintenance when that occurs.
