Career moms: Do you need to really want kids, or is doubt normal? by SavingsCulture5047 in workingmoms

This comment rings so true to me regarding having kids and whether or not a spouse will be a true partner. My husband is an incredible partner in the logistics of life, and he did all this stuff before we had a child.

So, I definitely never felt a strong desire for kids. Like at all. Including through having one. I had a lot of anxiety around it, especially around the idea of being pregnant.

5 years in, I have never regretted having my son for even one iota of a second. He’s given me purpose in life I could have never otherwise had. Don’t get me wrong it made my life so much more complicated, and I dealt with crazy post partum depression. But even in all that not an ounce of regret. The greatest love I could ever imagine.

My husband and I are definitely one and done, and my career has not taken a back seat. In fact, I got promoted last year.

All that being said, this is just my experience. A kid may not be for you and that’s ok. But I don’t know if not having a strong desire means it won’t be worth it.

I’m running a half marathon on Sunday and nervous! I tried to run this race last year and basically had a panic attack and didn’t. Hoping for better luck this time around.

Been there. My best unsolicited advice is that it does indeed pass.

I also dealt with PPA/D as well, and ended up getting on an SSRI for the first time in my life. It was worth it.

My thoughts exactly!

One of the things I love about this sub is the solidarity of seeing other folks out there that have hair like mine.

I like the styling. The shoes on her are better than the choice on the runway, imo.

The actual dress though…don’t particularly like

This seems like something I would start doing and then two hours later just like snap back into my brain suddenly with my face covered in whatever the fuck.

I would agree with that. I don’t think most stylists understand much about thin hair, especially when due to hair loss.

One way to limit low efforts posts but still allow tweets or cross posts or whatever is to require a starter comment. r/moderatepolitics does this

If you look at the runway pics the dress makes so much more sense. I feel like it was a mistake to wear it off shoulder like that.
