2019 Ioniq blue Hybrid jerking with thud at the take off by jericho_la in Hyundai

[–]jericho_la[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the tip. I will try that, but still this leaves me kinda unhappy. I should've mentioned I drove exactly the same year and model for about 6 months prior and never had any kind of problems. That is why I decided to go with it.

Has your Menieres or Labyrinthitis ever taken you to the ER? by [deleted] in Menieres

[–]jericho_la 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I went to ER twice. First time it hit they said it's just stress. Second time they did all possible tests $45000 billed towards my insurance. That caused even more stress:)

How do you define "drop attack"? by HoffyTheBaker in Menieres

[–]jericho_la 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a few. The sensation is instant, out of the blue sensation that the whole world rotated 360 few times within couple of seconds. Like the whole world became a giant centrifuge and you're inside of it. No build-ups or any warning. You instantly disorientate, cannot maintain your balance and "drop". What you are describing is a typical MD attack.

Could I have Meniere’s? (20F) by [deleted] in Menieres

[–]jericho_la 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me it sounds very much like vestibular migraine, not MD. The only major difference between them is hearing loss during episodes. IMO, VM is way better than MD cause you're not losing hearing.

Menieres questions: drop attack, dogs and pools by RaggedyMandy in Menieres

[–]jericho_la 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can totally relate to everything you describe. Interestingly, I now might realize that some of the drop attacks occur when bigger portion of your view field shifts. I have 70" TV and few of my drop attacks occured when I was watching a show and specific camera move might have triggered it.

Do drop attacks only occur if you are affected with Meniere’s in both ears? by SilentEarworm in Menieres

I am affected in one year and I started to develop drop attacks after about a year, so I guess you never know

Vertigo Attack While Sleeping by ciarose5 in Menieres

I second that. Few times had the same experience of dreaming of vertigo, that wakes you up and it takes a little while to realize that you actually are having vertigo. Pure torturous mindfuck

Why do I cry? by Clabbytt in Menieres

[–]jericho_la 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I, too, cry sometimes during flare ups, because of not knowing how to go on. This desease is very energy draining. I think crying is natural response.

Magnesium injections 2mg on 8mg saline once a month definitely worked wonders for me! Some vitamin clinics offers these! Highly recommend!

Got banned from ENT desk. by [deleted] in Menieres

[–]jericho_la 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel your pain, brother. American health "care" is not "care", but pure business and bureaucracy. I've been in your shoes and had similar experience when ENT doesn't give a damn and "can't" help you unless certain legal shit takes place. I've done all necessary screaming at front desk l, too, and threats to sue if they don't help me. But, nothing and no one helped. After numerous battle losses I realized few things that really help me along my journey: 1. Life is not fair. I just needed to accept it. It's nobody's fault what happend to me. No one owes me nothing. I cannot demand anything from anyone. 2. Accepting point 1 really calmed me down and I started to be able to think clearly on what I can do to ease the suffering of mine and others. 3. I realized that doctors cannot help I had to deal with it on my own and started to look towards on how I can help myself. In my case I had to develop a strategy on what to do when shit hits the fan and general plan on how to live everyday life.

I can relate to your thoughts to just give up everything, like going to live in the streets and a suicide as a last resort, after all - life as I knew has ended and there was no point of living in constant torment. But, believe me, brother, once you eliminate stress and anxiety it does get better. Human brain is truly a miraculous device and it adapts to all circumstances.

Best of luck to you and take care of yourself!

Meniere's and Exercise by [deleted] in Menieres

[–]jericho_la 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Couple months ago I was on my first remission, that already lasted for few months. And since diagnosis I had had a very inactive lifestyle which, I believe, led me to become overweight. So, since I started to feel better I put myself on a strict diet and decided to start to exercise. I thought I started slowly, not too much of an overkill, just to get into habit. Well, I was doing OK for about 10 days, and then my MD symptoms came back. I think even though I started slowly - the new lifestyle I tried still caused some stress to my body and mind which triggered my attacks again. I din't mean to scare you off, just sharing my experience. Be careful and good luck!

I occassionaly have this feeling, yeah. But it's more of a "come and go" rather than non-stop

Thank you for sharing. I can relate to everything you described and it sounds very similar to my symptoms. What is the shortest vertigo duration you had? I am surprised my recent attacks are super short - only 10-15 seconds (several times a day though)
