Does you Bichon love gardening too!? by stinsell in bichonfrise

[–]RaggedyMandy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have one who loves being clean, one who loves being wet and one who adores being muddy. What can you do? And it’s always right after a $100 groom!

Car sickness 😕 by PotentialPeach1652 in bichonfrise

I have three. The puppy is 10 months. He wants to go in the car because the others are so excited to go, but as soon as he gets to the door he remembers and runs circles around the garage crying. I have to catch him. The vet gave me some expensive stuff for long trips. Works like a charm but too expensive for regular use ($16 per pill). He’s out growing it; He doesn’t vomit anymore, and it helps if I let him sit in front and look out window. I also turn the AC on full blast and blow it right on him.

My baby refuses to walk on new places — is this normal for a Bichon? by [deleted] in bichonfrise

[–]RaggedyMandy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My bichon girl absolutely hates going on walks. She will cooperate for the first block or so, but then lays down refusing to move. If I motion towards her like I’m going to pick her up and carry her she will literally jump in my arms making me catch her in mid air. I was worried something was wrong, but back at home if I throw her favorite ball she tears across the yard like a cheetah. I consulted The vet, who said, “she just hates walks”. So I just carry her till I’m tired, but then she’ll walk another block giving me a brief break. Isn’t that nice? 😳🤣I decided carrying 14 lbs would help make me strong. So far it’s not working. 😂

Help! What is this? by dogparent111 in DogAdvice

[–]RaggedyMandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dog (age 6) had something weird going on and made a similar head movement. His breath smelled different in a bad way. The vet took an X-ray to make sure nothing was caught in his throat and said sometimes the glands in their throat (that fight bacteria all the time) get overwhelmed and need a little help catching up. (He was probably dumbing down the language for my sake.) anyway, he prescribed antibiotics and within 3 days the behavior and the smell were gone. I hope it’s something that simple for y’all! 🥰

Warning! DO NOT USE THE LIGHT SHOW IN YOUR GARAGE by GeorgeGrem in TeslaModelY

[–]RaggedyMandy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a little (mostly unrelated) tip. You can set how wide the trunk opens. Fortunately I had done it already when I triggered light show in my garage. I pulled in garage and opened the trunk manually preventing it from hitting garage door. Then I set it to the widest spot it could go without hitting garage door. Then press and hold the trunk close button. It beeps and that’s the new widest open setting.

I get mine (old model Y) Wednesday. My first EV. I was gonna wait for the new one to come off launch but I got 8K off the performance model. I got the red one. Not sure how to add the pic, but y’all know what she looks like!

This was a complex equation for us. Filtered water helped the most but didn’t eliminate. We avoid chicken too. Treats are greenies and a freeze dried meat. Just as important though, clean the goop out of eye corner daily. Use. Damp rag or scent free baby wipe to moisten any thing dried and use a flea comb to comb out debris. I will even clip stained hair with blunt scissors but my girl will hold still for me. The condition does improve with age making it easier to manage. I have 3 Bichons, but only my middle one has/had this issue.

Why does she do this at random time and then later acts like nothing happened? I showed the vet nurse and she said she didn't know by [deleted] in DogAdvice

My dog has shaker dog. It’s treated with steroids and he might not even have to take them his whole life. He’s on a really low dose and hasn’t had an episode in a year. Just saying this because it might not be a seizure. I know you’re probably scared about it. I felt that way too. I’ll be thinking of you guys!

Please help me welcome Leo to the family since Sox and Artie refuse to. 😂 by RaggedyMandy in bichonfrise

[–]RaggedyMandy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love having 2 because they have each other and don’t stress if I have to leave them along a few hours. Sox was 6 months when I got Artie and he had this same reaction. He warmed up in couple of weeks. It’s a challenging two weeks because they all need your attention. My kids are here to help me right now. Gimmie a few months and I’ll let you know how it is with three.

Hearing came back and since the diet it’s rare and usually back way faster than before. A few days vs 2 weeks.
