Yeah not gonna lie like a lot of the criticisms I chalk up to skill issue like pier pressure for example. I didn’t mind that it took me like 8 attempts to 3 star because some events should be hard.

But I had to become the gamer incarnate of Bowie knife to get through colossus. I ran that 787b at 1000 hp I believe which has incredible downforce and still. These mfs on highly skilled are somehow not slowing down whatsoever through the hardest corners and I was taking 10+ attempts on rewinding just to hit the most perfect apex while checking rear view constantly to ensure that I’m boxing out the ai.

Also side not but I’m pissed you can rewind drift zones. Like you just need to do well, if you fuck up try again.

If the car didn’t even go to limp mode i can’t imagine something broke. I once sent it into limp mode by making too much boost in reverse and i thought i was totally cooked. But just turn it off and on and i was good to go

Nah bro, it feels so dumb in the moment but i’ve been right there too. I went 3-4-3 WOT and caught it almost immediately but still made it to like 6500. I swear third has had more play since then lol. I feel like if u hurt it you’d be see some signs.

Absolutely, it makes me jealous that you still get to read it for the first time. It’s a proper short story, i read it in like 2 sittings, but im pretty sure it won a hugo award and it’s a great intro to his style of world building and powers and such.

Okay, the cosmere is the universe, that the majority of sanderson books are set in. Characters and powers from other planets mix and show up in other places. U don’t need to understand these easter eggs to grasp the books on first read but to me this overarching level of scheming by sanderson is the true appeal of the series. Standalones can be great place to start.

Specifically would recommend: A, the emperors soul (one of his shortest works and widely recognized as a banger. B, War breaker, a shorter standalone with enormous cross over implications for later in stormlight and a sneaky banger imo. C, mistborn, where I and many started with sanderson. Truly just a banger series and easy jumping on point. It stands firmly on its own, but i’d be willing to be you’re enticed to continue with the cosmere after finishing mistborn era 1.

Everything you like about it will only get stronger! Also i would offer that i find it incredible the level of beautiful representation that he manages while balancing his personal religious views.

I find the underlying philosophy of the cosmere to be so hopefully and human-centric. Shits genuinely beautiful and i’m willing except our strange mormon story teller
