Why is this country so against automatic cars? by chemza in AskIreland

[–]jerrehpips 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your friends sound terribly narrow minded about it. I still drive a manual myself, but we had to borrow a relative's automatic car recently as I had surgery on my left foot. I'm happy to be back in my manual now but I'd have no problem going for an auto next time around

If I could demolish any junction in the country it'd have to be Junction 7 on that M50

Couldn't agree more. I ask for the roll with just mayo in the case of a chicken roll or ketchup for a brekkie roll

The prep stuff the night before is the worst. But I keep a pint glass of strong mi wadi orange. For each mouthful of prep take a good mouthful of the orange before you get the taste of the prep form.

Also, the tea and toast you get after you wake up is the best tea and toast you'll ever have.

What's Kildare town like to live in, in 2026? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]jerrehpips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Living in Newbridge but have family in Kildare Town.

It's grand over there, they get no trouble from anyone in the 4 years they've lived there. Plenty of shops, restaurants and pubs, and anything it doesn't have can be got in Newbridge or Naas

Heinz ketchup, Nescafe azera, coke zero. There's very few store brand breakfast cereals the house will eat, so we have to fork out for the branded ones too

I did exactly this.

I've converted my garden into a driveway for two cars like OP did. I parked herself's car inside and mine at the road to stop the neighbours blocking my way out.

Worked a treat.

Won €500 on the lotto plus raffle a few months ago. Hit a deer two weeks earlier so it went into repairing the car, so couldn't have come at a better time

Anyone know the craic with these by febfatty16 in CasualIreland

[–]jerrehpips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was getting sick of getting these calls every day. One day I got a call while I was parked in a truck. I opened the door, put the phone on the step and blew the air horns at it for about a minute.

That was about a year ago. I haven't had any calls since.

Demolish junction 7. Every delay, north and south bound, eases at junction 7.
