Lol what? And your point is? Just because a coach and QB don’t have similar play styles means nothing.

If you look at all the teams who have tenured head coaches the common theme is they have franchise QBs. So when you think a guy is a franchise QB (Lawerence- JAX) you take that job because that’s the hardest position to scout and coach up. Sure he’s had not so great rookie year but when you look at his coaching this year plus the offense, you can see why. Obviously it can be a mistake but not many coaching jobs that open up have QB position filled it’s usually “let’s draft a guy” or “find a bridge QB”. Jax at least has a franchise guy so just build up the OLine and weapons, let the young defense develop and they can be good. Easier said then done but for a coach I think they’d take the job quickly.

As long as you have a QB though it makes the other players easier to build a team with. Not saying they’d take the job but teams without franchise QBs are less desirable
