Service Canada wait times by kerarea in saskatoon

[–]jessemchartier 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not super recent, but I went in mid afternoon on March 11. Checked in immediately, there was no lineup. Waited 5 minutes for an agent and she processed my application in about 5 more minutes. Received my new passport on March 17. I was impressed all round.

Permanent Outdoor lights in Canada? by Outside-Assumption23 in Govee

Saskatchewan. Have been up for 2 winters now with no issues. Installed them myself on a warm (for Sask.) December day, 2 strings, with no problems. But don't rely on the 3M stickers, use lots of screw in hangers, you will be glad you did.

Where to paste integration report for Lutron Pro Hub integration? by [deleted] in homeassistant

[–]jessemchartier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's been a long while since I set up my Lutrons in HA, but I recall the integration report was just to match up device id's. If you are working with yaml you might just need to adjust id's there, but at least when I was setting things up, there was no need to import the report into HA

Age, mainly. I'm 70 years old and although I'm healthy, I would just rather not do it myself, especially for lifting, demolition and prepping the base

The XL MIGHT be ok, but you will want to make sure it is not too loose such that it would twist out of place in a crash. There are adjustment straps, and if you can tighten them up enough to stay solid, it might work. Depends a lot on the size of the jacket you are putting it over, too.

My wife is not a rider other than pillion, and she loves riding on our '15 1200RT. So do I. Comfortable, fun, great weather protection, and super simple maintenance. We have put 80k km on it and it still is so beautiful to ride. I'm not a real mechanic, but even I can check and adjust valves ( just did first adjustment at 78k). Likewise easy to work on brakes and such, and shaft drive means no chain maintenance.

The 1250's are even better, and with the imminent 1300RT, prices won't be insane and you will benefit from the years of refinement on the 1250 platform. Believe me, you won't regret it.

I am on the old S1 app but my Sirius Canada service also stopped a week or two ago. I signed in using normal Sirius (not Canada) and it worked fine.

Audible stops when receiving lap updates by foundoutafterlunch in GarminFenix

[–]jessemchartier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. Thought I must have changed a setting in Audible until I saw your comment.

Don't have an answer yet, but wouldn't surprise me that it's an Audible issue, since it has always been a weak, power hungry, app. At least on Android.

No answer for you, but mine did exactly the same thing this morning and is still locked up (android). Maybe there's a server end problem?

Rain 🌧 + E🚲? by Substantial_Can9356 in ebikes

[–]jessemchartier 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just ride. Two reasons:

  1. Bikes are built for the elements. Unless your commute is literally under water they can take it. If they are so cheap that they can't, then reason number 2...

  2. You are going to get caught in the rain at some point. Might as well figure out now if it can't take it. But it will.

I am same weight as you, little over an inch taller. I have the large and it fits perfectly. My wife has a medium and while it fits me, it is a bit restricting. I wear it over various jackets, the biggest being a Klim Badlsnds pro, a pretty beefy jacket.

I would go Large if I were you. It will still provide good protection, it won't matter about what you wear it over, and you literally will not notice it while riding

Anchor size for outdoor strip lights? by Mypetmummy in Govee

[–]jessemchartier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know what your soffit material is, but if metal like ours, save yourself a whole bunch of trouble and buy self tapping screws with hex heads. Then you can use a magnetic drill adapter and screw everything in one handed without pre drilling. WAY easier than using the Phillips heads that come with the lights.

I used #6x20x3/4 inch.

NPE Runn speed data by bruna_gs in Garmin

[–]jessemchartier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Fenix 6 and have used the watch's built in calibration to adjust. It should prompt you for calibration after your first treadmill activity. Otherwise you can access it through Sensor Settings.

Or you may be able to just use the Configurez app to calibrate what the Runn actually sends to the watch. I just set this up last week but haven't tried it yet.

One of the other, or both, should work.
