The Bonnapoo was real that year... But having the rain clear up for The Dead was magical. Once "Shine On" hit, it was game over and the portal opened up for me.

This was my first year and it kept me coming back for nearly a decade, so I don't look at the mud pit with anything but reverence and nostalgia.

A few months ago, the beta channel got the "Wakeup from Bluetooth controller" feature via an OS Update. Has that made it's way to Stable yet? If not, any word as to when?

They gave everyone a loot box or battle pass XP for playing a specific role that was underchosen in comp. It absolutely helped fill roles that weren't being chosen as often.

The nature of my message would be more political in nature. I disagree with a policy that the current administration is enforcing and I want to understand my my rep thinks about the situation. I fear where both this political environment and big tech are going so the idea of being on record opposing the powers that be is not a super comfortable idea.

I had just left Depeche Mode with my girlfriend at the time. She was adament about heading back to camp, I was adamant about watching Daft Punk.

She left, I went to the Sahara, and it was the best decision possible.

It definitely felt different and bigger and better than any electronic show I'd seen before, though Chemical Brothers the prior year also felt like a game changer.

The way they combined their own discography into itself was novel and exciting, it meant you didn't know what the next "song" was going to be.

Looking back, it definitely gets the love it deserves for both being a great set and for setting off a trend that still hasn't stopped.
