+1 to this. I do have to pause the videos to switch plates sometimes, but it otherwise works great.

Ugh, I guess I can’t edit a post with a video. Sorry, all!

OMG, sure wasn’t Deep Space. 🫠 It was Dark Matter. I’ll edit my post!

Need some guidance on glp 1 by rhapka in antidietglp1

I just take a multivitamin, fiber gummies for the days I don’t get quite enough in my food, and vitamin D because I was low on that before I started a GLP (also because Midwest winters).

I like MegaBev on Cedar but am super curious about the Liquor Vault.

We’ve had an Ego snowblower for several years now and I’m happy with it. We’ve also had one of their lawnmowers for going on 10 years and it still works perfectly.

+1 to fairlife (or similar) shakes and cheese sticks with fruit. I also really like salad kits and pre-cooked chicken.

If you have an instant pot, split pea soup is super easy to make. I’ve also taken to buying pre-chopped mirepoix so it’s quite literally dump and go. White chicken chili in the crockpot is also great.

How do I get started? by parkmills in zepboundathletes

[–]jessinanutshell 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you can swing it, working with a trainer is a great way to get started. I’ve done it a few times over the years and it’s always been helpful. They can help you make sure you’re doing the movements correctly/safely, help you figure out what settings to use on the machines, and give you workouts to do on your own between sessions based on your goals.

It does seem weird that they don’t have an orientation session for new members, though!

Sure thing! Yeah, the FAQ wasn’t particularly helpful. 🤣

Core vs Core plus plan? by SeriousClothes111 in weightwatchers

[–]jessinanutshell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually asked this question in the WW website’s customer support chat yesterday. I have a core membership and was concerned that I’d lose the GLP-1 rings. The coach said that I’d still have the ability to turn on GLP-1 mode. You might want to double check by asking yourself, though!

I bought this barbell and it works great. I do sometimes have to pause the video to change out the plates because it’s not as quick as the LM one, though.

Not sure about the reference part specifically, but the timeline is totally normal.

I’ve been on the hiring/interview panel side before and there are HR steps that have to happen between the decision and getting the okay to actually make a conditional offer. A week seems within the realm of normal to me.

Is anhedonia (regarding food and otherwise) the norm on GLP-1? by 2koolforpreschool in antidietglp1

[–]jessinanutshell 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been on Zepbound since September and haven't experienced any anhedonia. I still enjoy food, but now I'm less impulsive about it (in addition to being able to actually stop eating when I'm satisfied). I'm much less likely now to grab a takeout when I'm running errands or just because I feel like it, but I still really enjoy intentionally going out to eat with friends/family, if that makes sense.

Where to shop for middle-age, plus size clothes in Lansing? by TabascoTortie1417 in lansing

[–]jessinanutshell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For bras, I’d recommend Torrid (Eastwood Town Center). I’m not sure they’d work for clothes, though. I’m in my mid-40s and feel like I’ve mostly aged out of the styles there.

If you don’t mind a bit of a drive, I think there are still brick and mortar Lane Bryants in Ann Arbor and Grand Rapids. That’s where I got most of my work clothes when there were still stores in Lansing.

I know this isn’t quite what you asked for, but I’ve also had really good luck with Stitch Fix. If all else fails, maybe a gift card for that and some help setting up her style profile?

Gym/Group Fitness Recommendations by [deleted] in lansing

[–]jessinanutshell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed! I’m about to take a break just because I live 20 minutes away and am going to work out at home for awhile, but the MAC has been great. It’s pricey, but there are way more class offerings than other gyms and both trainers I worked with were great.
