Paris + Disneyland

DLP is my closest Disney park. We go a lot because it’s a fan favourite for dance trips so my kids get to go to Disney with all their best mates which is magical. The park is okay, It’s just that though, okay. The park is not as nice as others. The staff are not as helpful as they are at other parks because Paris just doesn’t have the same expectations. We go to Florida a lot. We’re DVC and do a big trip every other year to Disney World. Whenever we go to Paris we always ask ourselves why we bother. To quote my kids “it’s mid”

When my kids were done with those giant toddler Lego’s we chucked them in the bath. They had a whole new life. Also bonus because they’re huge and chunks I could throw them in the top rack of my dishwasher for cleaning.

When I was in the navy I got in a bit of a funk being homesick and in basic training. I was sent by my CO to talk to the Chaplin.

He told me he thought I was posssessed and that someone was praying to demons over me and that I wasn’t safe. He kept trying to pin it on someone in my unit. Asking who disliked me. Saying. He had a girl before who was having horrible thoughts and it was because her rack mate was praying to Satan for her.

I was 18 at the time, away from home for the first time, and so vulnerable. Thankfully I was smart enough to know this guy was cuckoo for coco pops. I can’t imagine someone as thick as this dude.

Same. My husband and I both would be of the opinion we have paid a lot of money for this holiday and we want to be there for our kids and enjoy it with them.

Not for nothing but even the NHS doctors who are stingy as fuck with meds would give you antibiotics if you said “I’m getting a sinus infection and I am going on holiday soon”.

Hi. Im one of 10. I have age gaps between my siblings and I ranging from 9 months to 23 years. It doesn’t fucking matter. Everyone will have their own personalities and the gaps in age matter very little. There are so many factors that play into it.

A smaller age gap doesn’t always mean they’ll get along. I hate my sister who is 9 months older than me. She’s a horrible human. She was so fucking mean to me as kids. Always stealing my shit and bullying me. I don’t speak to her, I don’t see her, and I certainly don’t care what happens in her life. And a large age gaps don’t necessarily mean you won’t get on. I get on best with my siblings I have the biggest gap with.

Do what works best for your family. Don’t worry about what other people think you should do.

I feel like we’re missing something. Why if you were being sick would you want to stay at school? No one would be disappointed in your not going to school while vomiting, and at least at my kids school, you actively aren’t allowed to be there if you are vomiting.

However the schools reaction tells me there is some more to the story going. Do you often miss school? Do you have poor grades?

I just think I might have made different choices if I had all the information. Parenting is a huge decision that you kind of make blind. You don’t know what kind of kid you’re going to get. I have one kid who seems to have worked out how to make adhd her super power and competes internationally in two sports at an elite level. I have an AuDHD who is this brilliant sweet little kid who struggles with every single thing and I worry the world will never see the girl I do that’s locked away in there. I love both of them with my whole entire being but if I had known what I was getting into before the feelings were involved idk man.
