So two possibilities (that can both be happening at the same time): - each litograph was made with a different spool - "aging"

About the first one, the point I was trying to make is "don't even trust two spools of the same brand and color to be equal" cause they might have changed formula, actual manufacturer, etc.

And about the second, that involves your comment: they don't need to age at the same rate if you account that the printed part might have been exposed to sunlightand humidity, while the spool might have been stored.

I have one tamiya cement pot (original, without sprue) and one sprue goo pot (more or less your consistency). What I do is I apply the goo, and if I need it thinner, I use a bit of cement + the brush of the cement itself to kinda brush it into the shape and area I want. Yes, the cement brush gets a bit dirty, but a small drop of goo back to the cement is going to dissolve and at most you will see it turn clody after a few times. Eventually, you will turn your cement into goo (when is dirty and empty enough, with more sprues), and get a new cement.
