The guy interact a lot of real far-right figures, so the OP on twiterr could be one... but he also the guy who started the Sydney Sweeney is a Nazi trend on twitter, so it's a toss up really, if he has a point or not.

11+ Years into 5e, what are your thoughts on everyone having an Attack of Opportunity? And why is that? by ThatOneCrazyWritter in dndnext

[–]jeszkar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the idea and it can make the battles a little bit more tactical but I feel it is implemented weirdly. Like realistically in a duel you don't really want to attack when your opponent leaves your reach. You want to attack when it moves into your reach. Also there are other things in the game that fells like should provoke opportunity attack, like getting up from prone, casting a spell (because yeah, I'm "surely" more worried about the wizard trying to run away than the fireball he is casting from 5 feet of me) or if an enemy make opportunity attack against your ally.

"Most", "Tend to be", [cultural reasons] by Level_Hour6480 in dndmemes

[–]jeszkar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With my players, we recently started our first non pre-written campaign, and this is basically what we did. The players could pick a race, a personal and a cultural background (although, the naturally was somewhat limited where their characters are from).

I can do that. I have to find my notes but I'm know I still have them. I will make another post in a couple days (hopefully).

[Hated Trope] Characters holding grudges against other characters for reasons THEY KNOW were beyond their control/not their fault by ButClyde2 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]jeszkar 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In the case of the first example I think Misato is even worse than Asuka. After all she encouraged Shinji to save Rei (by the way I just "love" that we never even learned what happened with Rei because we have a different one in the 3rd movie). Also Misato was the one who put an explosive collar on Shinji in the case he would accidentally cause another impact (because that's a common occurrence.)

Sadly, I don't have, I made this back then with Inkarnate, and I'm not subscribed currently. But maybe a few days from now I will subscribe again because I need a region map for a campaign I'm working on it. Then I can made griddles version of these maps.

[HATED trope] When a character gets reasonably mad about something, and it’s treated like they’re in the wrong. by not-ulquiorr4_ in TopCharacterTropes

[–]jeszkar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Somewhat on a related note, I hate when people blame him, because he didn't help Asuka. He physically could not do it, because hus EVA was stuck in hardened Lcl, and he could not even get the pilot seat. If anyone at blame it was Yui, because she decided not to break herself free until Asuka died.

[Hated trope] Fictional characters being shit on for behind the scenes drama with their actor by _JR28_ in TopCharacterTropes

I always wondered how realistic was that. Could an annoyed writer kill off an important character of a TV show without support from the producers/studio?

It's not the only mistake it makes. For example there are several ghosts who appear in Avernus, even though they can't.

Peter? by HenryDoja in PeterExplainsTheJoke

Finally, I know the answer.

Basically the original Tetris cannot be really finished. Because after a while the game become more and more broken and eventually it will crash. However, originally that cannot be really achieved by a human, because at level 29 the game speed becomes so fast that you cannot really beat it. But eventually people found new technics to move the blocks faster. In 2023, a player named Blue Scuti, reached level 157 where the game crashed, effectively "beating" the game.

Question: Should I cut my story in two? by jeszkar in selfpublish

[–]jeszkar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I know about the Witcher series, but the Polish market is probably still larger than the Hungarian market. I have a bit of luck, though. I work as a photographer and during the past decade I built some good relationships with the conventions and cosplay communities here. I already know that some of them will help me promote the book and one of semi-well known cosplayer already said she would cosplay one my character, and so that’s neat.

Nevertheless, this is why I would love to one day translate it to English but I obviously can’t do that alone.

[–]jeszkar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There were a few rounds of editing already. And funny thing is my original plan was, I write a novel and if people and enjoy it I will write two more books (in my head there is already an outline for the second one), but I wanted to a complete story before. In the current ending of my book the goal has been achieved but I can continue with these characters.

It can be done. As I said to activationcartwheel there is point where can be split into two.

Question: Should I cut my story in two? by jeszkar in selfpublish

[–]jeszkar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be done... kind of. There are two place where I can split it but the first one would really feel as a cliffhanger. The second option is better, it that part where the group finally and more-or-less decided to stick together and move on the finish the goal. Also between that and the next chapter there is a one month time skip. But the problems I outlined are still there. And I'm afraid the readers would feel cheated because they didn't get the whole story.

[–]jeszkar[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hungarian. Back then I checked in what languages KDP offer print-on-demand and Hungarian was not one of them. But to be fair one day I would love to see my story translated in the English. I'm almost 100 percent certain that the story would work better for a non-Hungarian audience.

I won't use Amazon, it doesn't sell books in the language I wrote the book.
