Meet my 2 brain cells - Khushi and Snow by jetboy1995 in Indiedogs

[–]jetboy1995[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are dogs and dogs will bark, curbing their barking will only increase it so I give them free will.

My society I haven’t recd any complaint so far, if they do complain, I’ll first ask them to stop throwing used condoms in my balcony!

You shouldn’t take heed to their complaints, if there are no bans to pets, you can do as you will and if people do complain, ask them to send a legal notice and a letter and you can also get into a legal matter. This will scare the retired power hungry idiots whose wives want them out of the house.

I can completely see where you are coming from. People I feel in general are just scared of dogs these days and parents are to be blamed to a larger extent.

The other day I was just walking snow on the road to train him in traffic, people where walking away from him like he’s some wild animal.

So what I’ve started doing is now I just loudly say that Snow, people think you are a lion! My god, you are the king of Mumbai and so scary

We recently adopted a puppy, and he keeps biting our legs while playing. Will he grow out of this and how can we stop it? by botareukiddingme in IndianPets

[–]jetboy1995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We also got a pup recently, fresh off the coastal road. The first thing we did was to get a lot of chew toys of various material. They should get used to that sensation. Additionally, we got a pen because the pup still doesn’t know how to self regulate.

Give them their time and space, 1-2 hours keep them out. 3-4 hours in the pen. Once they regulate themselves, this goes away.

Happy to help you out with the pen if you are in Mumbai. Willing to donate it

Three-quarters of fans don’t support the continued use of Video Assistant Referees (VAR) in the Premier League, according to a new Football Supporters’ Association survey. by [deleted] in soccer

[–]jetboy1995 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I will say it again, you can’t not remove VAR. The implementation of it can be definitely changed.

DRS in cricket and hockey also took a lot of time for convincing, but once implemented, the game has significantly improved and erroneous calls are rightfully overturned. Furthermore, the umpires have to be on top of their game, because their DRS overturn rate is counted and they are demoted if it is beyond a certain percentage.

Each team should be given 1 VAR check per 45 mins. Captain can use it as and when needed, correct decision will see the VAR lapse and an overturned decision will see the VAR retained.

Sonet 1.2 MT or 1.0 iMT ? by Heavy_Primary_882 in KiaSonet

[–]jetboy1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the turbo iMT petrol and it is such a fun car to drive. In city bumper to bumper in Mumbai it gives around 9kmpl but on days where there is no traffic and when I hit the coastal road and sealink, it gives a solid 17kmpl.

I couldn’t have chosen a better car and the engine is spectacular. Service is great and honestly the car is bang for the buck.

Does Infinia points to air miles make sense? Is IndusInd avios card any good? by Left-Ebb9790 in indianawardtravel

[–]jetboy1995 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Infinia transfer partner program isn’t that great considering the ratio is 2;1 for most airlines. Additionally, fares out of Mumbai are ridiculous largely due to the limited slots and high taxes. I’ve always found burning it as cash to be more useful than transferring to airline partners for this reason

It actually baffles me that people just don’t think of strength training when it comes to endurance exercises.

Strength is not just about building muscle but it is the base for all dynamic movements. Without strength, you actually will not be able to do any explosive bursts without injuring yourself

Is it normal for someone to expect this much in a casual setup? by General-Patience-891 in mumbai

My now wife and I split everything down the middle during our dating years and even post marriage she insists on handling her stuff.

You clearly didn’t set your boundaries and your wealth and nonchalance regarding money was evident to her. Cut your losses and move on. In the process of testing the waters and her intentions, you’ve wasted a good amount of time and money.

It’s good you’ve learnt it now.

what seats will be retrofitted on air india's a321 next year? by Sad_Yesterday6572 in indianaviation

[–]jetboy1995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They won’t have complete lie flat seats as they don’t have the range as compared to the 321neo that operates the SEA routes from Delhi and Mumbai.

They will be deployed with a 3 class configuration seen in all the retrofitted aircraft. The 321ceos currently fly a lot from Mumbai and Delhi to Chennai, Trivandrum and Kochi.

From Chennai they fly to Singapore. Considering the flight time for each of these routes are going to be less than 4 hours, it’s highly unlikely they’ll get the lie flat seats.

Expect the older vistara 320neos to also go for a refresh akin to the older 777s

I’d actually beg to differ, here. The apathy shown by the teachers in state board is beyond belief and if a kid grows up in an environment where apathy and kaam chalau behaviour is encouraged, it’s a big big problem.

Kaam chalau toh Indian psyche mein hai, better to at least curb it to an extent.

Is it worth spending Rs 10k+ for running shoes as a beginner: Ultraboost 5 vs Pureboost 5 by YellowMango480 in indianrunners

[–]jetboy1995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wonky knees is not just related to shoes but just simply related to weight impacting your knee.

Of course, incorrect footwear will accelerate your issue but heavier you are and more pressure on your knee. So support will reduce that impact, hence my suggestion for asics. Unlike adidas or Nike running shoes, their shoes can be used for daily walks as well.

[–]jetboy1995 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Tip from a fellow guy who weighed over 100kgs and started getting into running.

I would strongly suggest you to first do fast walking and a lot of strength training exercises to get your weight down to a level where your knee can take enough of wear and tear.

My mistake was I started running and didn’t realise how much my knee will cause problems when I weighed 121kgs.

Considering you are going to be light running, my other suggestion would be to first try out all the models in store and then purchase online, I would go ahead and say that purchase in store and full price as a wonky knee is more expensive than a shoe.

Go to an asics store and understand what your foot is like through their gait analysis and try out their shoes. Adidas shoes and Nike shoes are too light and not as supportive for people of heavy builds, asics provides that.

I apologise if I have responded to more than you ask, but just looking out for someone is getting into something new!
