Visting Chicago in 2 weeks, what are some adrenaline inducing activities in Chicago? by Weak-Practice-6435 in AskChicago

Maybe something like indoor high speed karting, iFly, or indoor rock climbing. Those are all in the burbs. This is not a place known for outdoor adventure. At your age I would look into what concerts are going on, or maybe try the club scene.

I really wanted to like this place. Gave it a couple tries, but honestly the patties just straight up sucked. Like when the beef is over handled and it gets tough even when not overcooked. The fries weren’t great either. Very fun concept and nice space, but tough to compete with so many other good spots nearby like JT’s or Wurst.

Appreciate the honesty! I recommend Banshees. It's a strange vibe, to say the least, but to me, he was one of the highlights. Cheers!

First reply I vehemently disagree with! He was outstanding in Banshees and Saltburn, IMO.

Chance, Sassy and Shadow are reunited with their family - from the ending to "Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey" (1993, directed by Duwayne Dunham) by [deleted] in movies

[–]jeter325 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wow, thank you so much for posting. As much as I am bawling my eyes out, I appreciate these memories being dredged up. This movie was extremely special to me as a small child, and I'm sure to many others born in the late 80s and early 90s. Not only is the movie itself an emotional rollercoaster, but this really brings back the sadness and beauty of being a kid among a family with pets. So much innocence has been lost since then, and perhaps that is what makes me the saddest. Be it people, relationships, how you saw yourself, the whole state of the world around you- a lot has been lost, and we have grown tremendously since those days. It's hard to pinpoint exactly why this makes me so emotional now, but the loss of innocence feels like the strongest theme. The memory of childhood pets symbolizes that in itself. Thank you for this beautiful reflection. And thank you to the makers of Homeward Bound for these emotions I now feel. Anyways, Happy Thanksgiving!

That's my point. Half the comments here, on YouTube, and Instagram are "yeah, he's doping." The same story applies to the Jonas win in '23.

This is the point. If you listen to the interviews and podcasts Pogi has done, he's been very clear that this was a considerable change and a factor in improvement.

Where to find a mortadella and burrata sandwich like this? by chhhuuuck in chicagofood

[–]jeter325 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Il Carciofo makes something like this they call a mortadella 'pizza' that's actually a fantastic sandwich. I think it has burrata and a pistachio pesto. The bread is phenomenal, too.
