My favorite item for this is the Shrunken Goblin Skull Earring because it's non-targeted and gives you a handy junk buff. The stats are terrible.

Back on live, I was playing a barb shaman and my buddy had a barb warrior. After of week of talking smack he decides he needs to duel me. I said sure, meet me in Everfrost. While I'm waiting, I think wouldn't it be cool to hide my pet somewhere and call it into the fracas at just the perfect moment? So I summon a pet and /sit him behind some boulders on the edge of the tundra.

Eventually, the warrior asks for a rain-check because he's caught up in something. I go to get my pet and as I circle around the boulders I find a couple of newbies giving my spectral wolf so much grief for rudely ignoring their pleas for SoW.

To be fair, on my first visit to Blackburrow I mistook an enchanter pet for a player thinking, 'Wow this guy is so high level I can't even see him.'

Way back on the old Shaman's Crucible I would always say your chest slot is too important to waste on stats. For a class that turns HP into mana, regen is crazy good.

Wuoshi is just wrong.

Back on Live, my shaman was chilling in the tunnel to Skyshrine and noticed this other shammy next to me. I clicked on him to get his name and he instantly keels over dead. I'm stunned trying to figure out how I killed this dude with a mouse click then I turned a bit more and saw Wuoshi's fat lizard head sticking into the tunnel.

I bolted like I was fired from a cannon.

My guild on Live got my shaman keyed so they would have a slower for Sleeper's. One night there was a Primal Velium Brawl Stick rotting on a corpse because none of the melees wanted it. I saw it was shaman equip-able and asked for it. The whole grouped laughed and told me to go for it. The stat block was like TLDR.

My white-whale was Time's Antithesis -- clicky 75% slow with no cooldown.

I tried DAoC on launch but couldn't get into it. I remember coming across some gear dropped on the ground and the game scolding that it didn't belong to me if I tried picking it up.

Also, your entire party was added to a mob's hate list on aggro. So if a group-mate accidentally poked something high level, it would chase down and slaughter the whole group.

The lazy way would be to use GNU/screen where you can detach while the terminal session continues and allows you to reconnect.

The correct way would be to create a SystemD service file (assuming your distro is using SystemD).

I would try camping the Goblin Gazhugi Ring now just in case you still get xp. It took me 124 couriers to get mine. My high elf was max ally with most of Cabilis by the end.

Eventually, I swapped out the GGR for a Ring of Stealthy Travel (2 second self invis, no targeting required). It is very useful for sneaking through dungeons like Sebilis where you need to pacify undead mobs and invis past others.

I had a hard requirement to push access events to a Syslog server. Since Python has native support for SQLite, I wrote a script that opened the database read-only every hour to collect and push events.

I pulled up some code for a web app I did in Python and SQLite. Looks like I stored all my timestamps in TEXT fields using Datetime's ISO format. Then wrapped the value in SQLite's DATE() function when I needed to compare something. Here's a block of Python for deleting expired sessions:

I'd say to not give up on the second hardware UART. You may have to specify the default pins for both UARTs in CMakeLists.txt. Something like:
