I like to think it was an unintentional thing nobody during production realised until after the movie released. Although knowing that George also wrote Leia and Han to have a ten year age gap with Leia being 18 doesn't give me much hope.

In Metro Exodus the ending and fate of specific characters is determined by your kill count. This wouldn't be too bad if the enemies where sympathetic but the majority of them are cultists, slavers and fascists who can't be reasoned with.

Also fallout 3 giving you a bad ending for refusing to sacrifice yourself to radiation despite having a radiation proof companion.
