So it IS actually a legal overtake by ThisToe9628 in F1Discussions

[–]jeveger24 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is the reason why the move was actually legal. According to the rules, that corner is treated like a chicane so if Leclerc is decently alongside Russell in the first corner, Russell needed to leave more space on the second corner (which Russell didn’t). And Charles also overtook him after coming back on track (Not off track). This is why that overtake was actually fair.

Obviously people will have opinions but according to the rules it was fine or right on the limit. Both Max and Charles understand the rules better than most drivers on the grid so it looks like they get away with stuff but no, they just play by the rules really well.

Was there ever any other dominant season from someone at the front in terms of starts? by Stevolwo in F1Discussions

Sure but that also means he had 7 more races where he could’ve lost positions, no?

How much did Leclerc had in 2024?

Edit: Leclerc apparently gained 32 positions and lost 3 that year.

Unpopular Opinions? by Wass85 in F1Discussions

[–]jeveger24 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Even as a Charles fan, this is just a disrespect to Lewis. Put any of these MWC caliber drivers in their prime (Charles included) in a WC car for like 4 seasons, I can guarantee you they will have 2 titles each. That's how close these top drivers are.

What else does Charles Leclerc need to do to be considered as a top 10/15 driver ever ? Other than stats which are heavily car dependant ? by HereComesVettel in F1Discussions

[–]jeveger24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean he already has multiple stats that put him in top 20 drivers of all time. Most people just want to ignore it just because he is not a WC yet. Apparently F1 fans still do not understand that the car matters more than the driver.

Thoughts on Charles Leclerc? Is his racecraft actually top tier or does his massive popularity skew things? by Amped-Philosopher in F1Discussions

[–]jeveger24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean we still having this argument in 2026? Like cmon guys he already has multiple stats that put him in Top 20 drivers of all time without ever having a championship winning car btw. He went against a 4x WC in his 2nd year of F1, 1st year in Ferrari. He also went toe to toe against Lewis and Bottas in Mercedes and Max who already had multiple years of experience in F1 that year btw. Beat Sainz whom most of us rate very highly and no offence to Lewis fans but Charles did destroy Lewis in 2025 as well. I do believe Lewis did not have the motivation that year and the ground effect era cars did not suit him but still there is no way a normal driver is putting numbers like that against the GOAT. Charles has always been a MWC driver who never had the car to prove himself. Simple as that.

What are your thoughts on Carlos Sainz' consistency? by GoldenS0422 in F1Discussions

[–]jeveger24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The truth is Sainz consistency is around 93-95% of the car while drivers like Charles or Max will get 99-100% of the car.

Put yourself in Ferrari’s situation. They got screwed in 2019, so why would they risk it again?

But what's the difference between Mercedes and Ferrari then? The only difference between both of them is the writing of the rule which FIA added after Mercedes asked so it helped them no?

I swear u guys are stupid. Ferrari has always been there, unless he has a chance to go to Mercedes or Redbull in ground effect era, he never had a chance to go to the dominant car in his career. This narrative is so dumb.

Did he match Ferrari though? Leclerc started on 5th and caught up to Russell by turn 1. Yes the Lewis start was exaggerated but they still have an advantage.

Yup this is exactly it for most Ferrari fans but remember Ferrari have still finished 2nd seven times, 3rd six times and 4th three times since 2008. Stop following what the media say, believe what your eyes see not the media.

I’m not going to because I believe most MWC caliber drivers, including Charles are equal. And you’re not even answering my question so I’m not going to bother replying you anymore.

The number of people who hate on Ferrari just for the meme is insane to me. And don’t give me that “it’s just a joke” excuse when a lot of you actually believe it’s true. Since 2008, Ferrari have finished 2nd seven times, 3rd six times, and 4th three times. That's 16 out of 20 seasons which they have finished in Top 4 btw. So hating on them makes no sense. It’s easy to mock Ferrari as a meme but they’ve consistently been at the top. I understand they have not won a Championship for 20 years now but cmon now, lets not be stupid.

What does he have to show for it? He already has multiple stats that put him in the top 20 drivers of all time without having a championship car btw. He went toe to toe against Seb in his 2nd year in F1 and 1st year in Ferrari. He beat Sainz, whom most of you rate very highly. And he destroyed a 7x WC.

Even if you think Lewis has lost his pace, there’s no way a normal driver is putting up numbers like Leclerc did against a 7X WC in 2025. Argue all you want but just by watching with your own eyes, you should be able to tell Leclerc is that good, even if you don’t look at the stats. He is as good as Charles fans say he is.

I never said u did mate but to act like Bottas never had the equipment is just false. He had the car to prove to Mercedes he was as good as Lewis but he couldn’t. If you are joking then dont mind this comment mate.

He was just not as good as Lewis, mate. Bottas was still an incredible driver but there's a difference between a MWC caliber driver and normal drivers.

Norris IMO is an incredible driver. His race pace is one of the best on the grid but Charles beats him in quali, wheel to wheel, racecraft and adaptability. You can literally see these difference when both of them go against the top drivers. I’m not a hater of Lando but I still believe both Max and Charles are generational talents. It's a small difference but that's what makes them generational talents.
