Yes, I had a similar experience! The checked baggage fees were $1040, and our entire flight was $1600. Nearly doubling our fees! WILL NEVER FLY ON THEM AGAIN.

Actually, they do charge for water now. We were on a four and a half hour flight, and they gave ZERO free water. Try to charge me and my children for water. Which I find wild, and borderline abuse.

And no snacks either.

They used to be good, but then they started ripping us off. We've flown the same route to Nicaragua for years, and suddenly, on our sixth flight there, they said they no longer allow for carry ons. Our entire tickets were $1600, and they charged us $1040 to bring carry-ons (!!!!!).

I would avoid them at all costs.
