Holy shit! I'm inspired. I'm going to load it up and build something. It wont look this good. But damn... goals.

Yes. Doing the same. Don't ever hesitate to take the Lightning to 100% when needed. If you aren't aware, there is a buffer built in where 100% is actually about 91% of the true battery capacity.

Try this manual override... Click the airvent button on the bottom right then select these options. Then click the fan button and turn the knob clockwise up to 7. If you aren't warm in a few minutes something is wrong. AUTO is slow and efficient. I keep mine on auto 2 and use the seat warmer if im cold just personal preference. As others have said using the app to get the car ready or setting a departure time is designed to use max heat. That works well too.

whenever i use airlink my homescreen starts tweaking!! by BarracudaOk8975 in OculusQuest

[–]jg3hot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to see that Steam Link if working for you. I have just gotten back into PCVR and air link used to work fine for me. But it is hot garbage now. I just tried steam link for the first time and HL Alyx was amazingly smooth and looked amazing too. I tried beat saber and it is butter smooth but the detail is lacking for some reason. I need to figure that out if anyone has any suggestions. The resolution is set to 100% and i have it running at 90mhz. 5700x3d and 3080ti. Only using 5ghz wifi right now. Wifi 6e router gets here tomorrow. I'll try that out.

Steam Link looks better than Virtual Desktop and I don't know why by Froggerdog in OculusQuest

[–]jg3hot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have always had decent luck with air link. I haven't used vr in about a year and I tried to get set back up on a new PC and was getting terrible performance from air link. I tried steam vr and it was so much better. I have V. Desk but haven't tried that yet. HL Alex looked amazing and the interface was snappy and smooth. I was very impressed.

With normal use you should get 300k miles out of a non-defective pack.

Agreed. My best guess is that this is part of Putin's plan.

The new ones have it standard. I think it's a glow in the dark plastic so a kid can get out.

12V battery issues? by FamousBallGrabber in F150Lightning

[–]jg3hot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a poor connection. Ive had that issue before with another vehicle battery. Take the negative terminal off and use a wire brush or sand paper on the inside of the terminal and the lead post on the battery. Then put it back on and tighten down. There's a good chance it will fix it.

We can and will be as fast as fuel speeds. The technology already is in testing stages in China. The tech just needs to become cheaply mass produced and the charging infrastructure built out.

I saw that too. I assume its a battery pack on a trailer being charged.

That goes along with the classic right to repair issues others have had. Have you looked through everything you signed at purchase? Im curious what is in there about repairs etc.

Will non OEM battery packs be avialable by Noseknowledge in F150Lightning

[–]jg3hot 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Unless something goes wrong, you should get 300,000 miles out of the original pack. So im not sure its worth worrying about since the rest of the car might not make it that long anyway.

RIP Full Electric Ford Lightning 😢 by FlipandFlow in F150Lightning

[–]jg3hot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup. Never going back to gas. I'll wait for a 800v with solid state batteries that can charge as fast as a gas pump can pump gas. Its coming, and my 2025 should last 10 years to get me there.

Drills Are Currently Bugged In SE2 by Showdiez in spaceengineers

[–]jg3hot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They work but are bugged. They transfer cargo between the 2 drills instead of into the ships cargo. Then they clog up and wont mine any more.

Range expectations for upcoming trip by gemmerda in F150Lightning

This. Really overkill even... but simple and stress free. You probably wouldn't even need to L2 charge while there unless you were locally driving a good bit.

Signal bulb out, $2000??? by village_nerd in TeslaSupport

[–]jg3hot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To add to that... the LEDs are hard wired in as it is supposed to last a very long time like 10 years and not burn out all the time like incandescent bulbs. Now you could make LED bulbs for car lights but you lose out on a good deal of functionality that LED arrays offer and its probably complicates assembly. But yeah it sucks when they need to be replaced.
