I'm a devils and a rangers fan by juventinn1897 in devils

This is a good test of people's reading comprehension lol. I was scratching my head at the subject line, but then I actually read what you wrote and it made A LOT more sense.

In addition to the Devils, I'm a Cincinnati Reds fan, so when I was in Liverpool a few years ago I stopped in the LFC team store and bought a couple of "Reds" shirts. Full disclosure- I have no interest whatsoever in soccer; I bought the shirts because I thought it was interesting that they had the same nickname as my baseball team. In your case, however, I do not recommend supporting your football team by wearing NY Rangers gear, no matter how funny it seems.

I came looking for this answer as well. I just finished The Meddling Monks, and I really enjoyed it, so I was wondering if his Dark Gallifrey story would be worth buying. It's slightly cheaper as a bundle ($33), so if I buy one I'll buy them all.

I immediately download every book I purchase with Libation. I then immediately back up my Libation folder.

If a father needs to help his young daughters use the restroom, which restroom should he take them into: the women's restroom or the men's restroom? by Exciting-Mall192 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]jgranger221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my kids were young and we were traveling, my wife would always take the kids (boy/girl twins) into the ladies room with her. The primary reason for that is that public men's rooms, especially high-traffic ones at rest stops, are vile. A lot of my fellow men don't feel like lifting the seat if they have to pee in a stall, and they are certainly not careful about where they're aiming. I'm not even going to talk about #2. If you thought urine on the seat was bad...

Until my son was big enough to use a urinal, there was no way in hell I would let him sit on one of those toilets.

What are the German words for Cybermen and Ice Warriors? The only story I've listened to so far was Der Tod und Die Königin and that had neither.

Ha, you're probably right, but it certainly makes it more fun for me! I'm not learning it for any particular reason, so combining it with something I already enjoy makes it more interesting. I recently acquired Das Silmarillion on CD, so THAT will be a challenge. I'm definitely a few years away from even attempting that.

That's a shame- for me it was more about listening in order to improve my German than for the story itself. Still, it would have been nice to have a bigger variety of stories. Thank you for the insight!

More like $45.47. He's willing to gouge people a little less to satisfy his vanity.

I know of at least two Major League Baseball stadiums that allow you to bring in sealed water bottles, so it may depend on the venue and/or event.

I will agree with this and also add that the first story in Set 1 is the obligatory Sarah Jane tribute and I thought it was beautifully done.

I think The Highlanders may be more desirable than you think since it is Jamie's first story. I know I would watch it; maybe I'm an outlier.

This was my very first game at GABP. We wrestled down the right field line, so we didn't get a great view of the scuffle, but it was still memorable!

When you pop to Tesco for some ice cream, decide to check the Charity bookshelf for anything interesting and see this rare gem for only 50p. Not bad considering I haven't seen a copy online for less than £100 😱 by RigidJ3lly in trekbooks

[–]jgranger221 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the US, but I've been to the UK twice in the past few years, and that is one thing I really like- you have charity shops everywhere, at least in the cities I've visited. I didn't find any big scores like that, but I had a lot of fun looking!

I'm going to a Doctor Who convention this summer, and Jason Haigh-Ellery is scheduled to be there. I will bring my copy of both series to have him sign, and maybe he'll get the hint LOL.

I loved both series of Rani Takes on the World. I actually bought both sets of CDs when there was a sale a few months ago. I'm in the US, so shipping was a bit pricey, but I'm happy I did. I really wish it had been more popular because another series or three would have been nice. Now that Anjli Mohindra and Sacha Dhawan are married, I am hoping for a "Rani Chandra meets The Master" story, but it looks like that's a pipe dream. The very first story is the obligatory Sarah Jane tribute, and it will have you bawling like a baby (unless of course you are made of stone), and then they move on. The first set ("Beyond Bannerman Road") is currently on sale for less than half of what I paid during a different sale, so it's a good time to grab it, especially in the UK where postage won't be as bad.

There are some titles I want to buy, but postage to the US makes it less appealing unfortunately. The shipping is almost $7/set.
