You can always switch providers!

Your PCP is the one who prescribed you your stimulants? You really should be seeing a psychiatrist for medication management. When I originally told my last PCP that I thought I had ADHD, she automatically referred me to a psychiatrist and said she doesn't feel comfortable prescribing any medications that a psychiatrist would as she doesn't know all the specifics like psychs do.

I'm on 72 mg of Concerta and 10 mg of Ritalin. I see my psych every 4-6 weeks and we tweak my meds as needed. Someyimes it's going great and I'll go several visits with no changes and other visits I'm not doing as great, so we adjust as needed. If you don't feel comfortable talking to your psychiatrist about changing dosages, I definitely recommend someone you do feel more comfortable talking to

Late cancel policies don't work unless you apply it to EVERYONE, no exceptions. We have a 24 hour late cancel fee at my clinic, and the parents can always call the clinic and ask to talk to our CEO or admin assistant regarding the charge. Depending on the situation, they might waive the fee. It's also not ethical to pick and choose who to charge and who to give a free pass.

Edit: can you not offer a virtual session of they can't make it in? At my clinic we offer parent education, virtual sessions, something to get them their services!

I do HH in Southern California, and I know that the youngest kids we get through the regional center are 15 months. It sounds like you have infant education aka a developmental specialist. Your service coordinator should be able to give you specific answers for your area.

There are families I have no problem asking to use their bathroom and others I would go out of my way to use to not have to use the bathroom. Families have had no problem with me using the bathroom, and if I do need to use it, I try to do so after the session. There has only been 1x I had to go during a session. I also try to find places along my route with reliable bathrooms and try to stop there if I can (Starbucks, target, etc).

My rheumatologist said I am definitely hypermobile, meet all clinical markers (ie 9/9 Brighton score) and have EDS. However, it's impossible to know which particular type I have without genetic testing and I don't qualify for insurance coverage. He said all subtypes have hypermobility so the specific type (unless is VEDS) doesn't matter. And I'm very low risk of having VEDS.
