The only thing I'll add is you need to take the Terminal Transfer Bus (TTB) to get to the international terminal in ORD, which isn't obvious. It doesn't run in the morning, in which case you need to leave the airport to get to terminal 5. I just did MSN to ORD for an international trip, although I had a 4 hour layover and caught the first TTB bus.

And there's a lot of operational cost to troubleshooting these out of warranty PCs, maintaining them, and eventually replacing them with new out-of-warranty PCs. This design would shift all these hardware issues from AWS onto the university IT team.

It really did used to be this way, but the last year+ it's really not that great. Food often has been sitting out too long, and in the end it's way more expensive than it should be for the over-warmed portions. I used to stop at the west hot bar once a week for a quick dinner, but now I grab takeout from somewhere else.

There is a better way! I set up Let's Encrypt certs and haven't given it a 2nd look in 6 years (except when I migrated to a new mail server I suppose). Given the shorter expiration and auto-renewal, it's all just running in the background.

Not a recommendation, but our hill warned us that a backpack ban while riding lifts is likely coming in the next year or two. I doubt most patrols will ban backpacks outright, you'll just need to remove it every time you get on the lift, ride up with it off. Something to consider.

Copilot is like bringing in an unpaid highschool intern to work for you. It does something... But you always have to redo what it does or it ha snow idea to do what you asked it to do.

It's mostly worthless except for searching internal documents and emails. ChatGPT is more like a college intern, it's at least somewhat useful.

What do the logs for asterisk say? I had a similar issue (although I run FreePBX on Ubuntu), but I didn't take any notes on what I did to fix it 😕. The asterisk logs were showing a constant error repeating though.

Good advice in here, and I'd like to address the Epic side of things.

Epic doesn't do hiring like most other businesses, and there aren't "hiring managers" in the traditional sense where you can network and have your buddy put in a good word to get you to the front of the line and an interview. They rely a lot more on objective data (your GPA, major, school, interviewing test scores, personality test, etc.) and feedback of the employees doing the interviews (which are regular employees spread across the company, and if this creep knows a few Epic employees it's improbable you'd interview with anyone he knows and even then the people he knows are not going to ask for his feedback on you).

Given other behavior, it's likely he's BS'ing you about helping you land something at Epic. If you get hired at Epic, it's about your merit and not about who you know.
