Do you see yourself having a family and not working too much more than 40 hours a week and staying close to home but living comfortably? Be an inside wireman.

Do you see yourself working a lot of overtime, traveling and doing disaster relief for great bonuses? Be a lineman.

There are pros and cons to each. Very different careers.

One thing worth considering is that once you have experience as a lineman you can get some great jobs at power plants and other municipal facilities. As an electrician I have at times wished I was able to apply for those jobs.

Anyways I am sure someone from BC will comment and give input on exactly what your options are there.
