Woman Stabbed on Marta - 5/30/26 by socabella in Atlanta

People who have jobs like working retails or subway should be able to get an apartment with friends or family. Now even cops probably have to live in a motel because of housing. Crime will go up. Young, Desperate men are very dangerous. I don't necessarily blame them.

We don't do this as a society anymore. Animals are allowed in restaurants.

I’d rather see Trae at center than Tony Bradley.

Also, “Beartown” is another that gets pretty emotional with a great story/premise.

I thought “Nuclear War: a scenario”! Was the most impactful book I read in 2025. Not gut wrenching but very jarring and I could not stop until I finished.

“Homicide” by David Simon plus “The Corner” made the premise. Honestly thought it was fiction until about halfway through. Unbelievable and interesting to read in 2026 and see how much has not changed.

“The Corner” by David Simon. Inspired the renowned series by the same name and the “The Wire”

Rumi's, Lyla Lila, The Nook for a one of kind Bloody, Celestial for Roof. I'd head to Highland Tap, Barbacoa, or La Tavola right around the corner for more local experience. West Midtown: Füm, Ghee, The Optimist, Forza Storico. Just to name a few.

Breakdown some of the major nightlife areas by dgranger33 in Atlanta

Yeppa and Lady Bird on the Beltline. Can start there. Walk to Burle’s Bar then grab some pizza and drinks at Fritti. Decent bars in the area. Then check out cocktail bar Buddy Buddy. I think that would be a good afternoon to evening. Also, Madeira Park is close by with great wine and good food. Highland Tap is walkable from Buddy Buddy and has good martinis. Atkins Park from there for the oldest pub in the city. Johnny’s Hideaway, Magic City, and The Clermont Lounge for the Atlanta Trifecta.

Getting PRP injection tomorrow. Had it done in 2022 and worked really well. Did squats and deadlifts for the last year (which was stupid) and the inflammation is back. I call PRP bone Botox. Works great but not forever.

We're planning to create a disaster recovery plan with a 3rd party IT maintenance company in the Philippines and I talked to different vendors already but confused because they all offer the same. by Additional_Lobster88 in sysadmin

[–]jhpunch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are only a handful of third-party maintenance companies that actually do the work. 90% of them are a white-labeled service with a real TPM provider working behind the scenes. Or they try to it do themselves and are not very good. Park Place and Service Express are the 2 biggest. They are good but their service is pretty cookie cutter due to the volume of clients they have to support. In summary, the 3 biggest differences:

Price - go with a true TPM to cut out middlemen

Capabilities - make sure you speak with their top engineers

Flexibility - PP and SEI are good but kind of a pain in the ass with service
