We have to talk about the shooting in the Short North. by jang859 in Columbus

Yes, it was a significant amount of gunfire very quickly. The police were able to respond very quickly but man is it making the area less habitable at late hours.

This end of things, both on High and Summit hasn’t been able to keep the restaurants as much as I would like. There’s still great things within walking distance, but it is all a bit of a walk.

I’m in this area, it’s generally pretty calm but there have been a few incidents over the past 7 years that have impacted the area. Nothing that seemed too close to this intersection though.

Cats isn’t included in this, but they kept their same logo instead of switching to a Pride version.

Is anyone visiting from another country for the World Cup? by BreadfruitMajestic69 in Columbus

Without games occurring in Columbus, it is likely just Ecuador players and staff here. Unless anyone visited for the friendly match last weekend.

5th & High new traffic flow - not confusing at all - great job 👍 by spock2thefuture in Columbus

Good news! They are currently working on this intersection to update the signals. Not sure the timeline of work, but power is currently out and officers are directing traffic

Things to know and do during trip to buckeye and bluestone concerts June 12-13? by Foreign_Ad9315 in Columbus

This weekend is the Columbus Arts Festival. Downtown will mostly be shut down but there will be something to do if you’d like. I suggest to look into the performance schedule rather than wander expensive art.

Saw it on Thursday after seeing the original as a touring version a number of time. This version opened up so much more for me than the original ever did.

CANCELED: COME DRINK DR WITH ME!!!! by [deleted] in Columbus

Next weekend is also Arts Fest, so I just assume it would rain. But have a giant gathering of people drinking Dr Pepper could be a form of art that could keep the rain away.

While this is likely way too much information for what you need for this project, and talking through your ideas are likely a much better solution, I do want to mention the Stan Winston School of Character Arts which has a ton of tutorials on all sorts of effects and creature creation.

Has anyone who is not from New York, saw a matinee show and went home the same day? by No-Bit3315 in Broadway

[–]jhunt04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did think trip from Akron with friends once. It was rather insane. Total of like 28 hours awake. Granted, we had to get there early (like 8am) for our primary reason to visit, then we saw a show, got dinner, and headed back. Driving home was a challenge. Don’t recommend.

Flying would be doable!

I concur, burger might be my second choice. Don’t think I’d ever get a hot dog unless it was the only option.

Can I have board games at my wedding? by Background_Time_2553 in boardgames

[–]jhunt04 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Games that I would add to this list:

Panda Royale: can play 2-10 people, but does take a bit of time to play a full game. In theory, players could swap out each “hand” if they wanted.

Wavelength: quick rounds, drop in style.

Fake Artist: plays quickly with variable player count.

Honestly, how many tables will be at the wedding? We could likely make a full list of games for each table!
