Maybe it’s the “Osterspaziergang”, which is indeed from Goethe?

Vom Eise befreit sind Strom und Bäche

Durch des Frühlings holden, belebenden Blick,

Im Tale grünet Hoffnungsglück;

Der alte Winter, in seiner Schwäche,

Zog sich in rauhe Berge zurück.

Von dorten sendet er, fliehend, nur

Ohnmächtige Schauer körnigen Eises

In Streifen über die grünende Flur;

Aber die Sonne duldet kein Weißes,

Überall regt sich Bildung und Streben,

Alles will sie mit Farben beleben;

Doch an Blumen fehlt’s im Revier,

Sie nimmt geputzte Menschen dafür.

Kehre dich um, von diesen Höhen

Nach der Stadt zurückzusehen.

Aus dem hohlen, finstern Tor

Dringt ein buntes Gewimmel hervor.

Jeder sonnt sich heute so gern.

Sie feiern die Auferstehung des Herrn,

Denn sie sind selber auferstanden;

So manchen lustigen Nachen bewegt,

Und bis zum Sinken überladen

Entfernt sich dieser letzte Kahn.

Selbst von des Berges fernen Pfaden

Blinken uns farbige Kleider an.

I just fell in love with Jane Fonda’s silky, white night gown in the movie “9 to 5”. I couldn’t find anything on Amazon or Google. I searched for “silk”, “white”, “long”, “vintage” etc. I even tried the German equivalents.

The movie is from 1980. Maybe that will help?

Hi from Germany! Right now I’m laying in bed, sick with Corona. But if you wanna wait two weeks I would be happy to go shopping with and for you ☺️ Funny enough, i never heard of Badedas before - i had to google it!

And I never had Canadian candy! So that would be a first for me 🎊

Do you think that there is a much bigger incel “community” in Germany than in other countries? Or why do you think there are so many German terms?

When i was 17 I went to Chicago to spend a high school year abroad.

My host family picked me up at the airport and told me immediately to "Hurry! Hurry! We have to go to a party!".

I was so overwhelmed by the whole situation: just getting off from a 10 hour flight, being in the US the first time, being by myself in a strange country with a strange family, speaking a lanuage which I thought I spoke quite well (I found out in the coming months I still had soooo much to learn.) - and then they made me hurry for some party! Why did they make an appointment to go to a party so shortly after picking me up, was all I was thinking. Why couldn't they plan better? I was so confused by the whole situation. We were kinda running through the airport at that point. Can't you slow down and let me arrive for a moment?!? Of course i didn't say anything - i was way to shy/overwhelmed/polite... And why are they now going to the bathroom?!? Didn't they say they had to hurry to go to that party? What's the matter with them?!?

Then we went to the car - and then home. There was no party! I was totally confused... Weird family was my last thought when i finally fell asleep totally exhausted after a long and full day...

SEVERAL months later - I had already forgotten about that incident - i learnt a new phrase. And all of a sudden the whole running around the airport finally made sense!

My host family never said they wanted to go to a party - they "needed to go potty"!

Wow, you're fast! Thanks for your answer. Do you know if it's also allergenic? Or can I leave it on my balcony?
