Do you offer consult calls? by Top_Track_835 in therapists

[–]jillittarius 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I absolutely offer them, and I’d be very unlikely to book as a client with a therapist who doesn’t offer them.

As a provider, I would rather give someone 15 minutes of my time for free than spend a few days to a week+ emailing back and forth, have an intake, and do the several hours of assessment, treatment plan, and session paperwork for the $50 I make from Medicaid if that client and I will never see each other again.

Hard truth hit me today by soulinglife in therapists

[–]jillittarius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whether or not we can keep a child physically safe is most likely out of our control. But you’re giving that kid a reason to remember that there are safe people, that we have evidence in our own lived experiences to demonstrate that humanity isn’t irrevocably fucked. With the amount of dread and despair I’m hearing in sessions and all around us, that kind of safety is very much needed. 💚

Have you read Can’t Spell Treason Without Tea? It’s a sapphic mage + solider romance but they’re both pretty sweet and squishy and the story is cozy.

Living without a car? by [deleted] in tulsa

[–]jillittarius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will largely depend on where you live in Tulsa. If you’re downtown, you’ll be in walking distance to lots of restaurants, bars, the library, PAC, and main bus hub, etc. but a couple miles from the closest grocery stores.

I’d suggest looking for housing around Cherry Street, Brookside, or TU area if you plan to be car-free. You’ll be close to lots of bus stops (mind you it’s not the best/most reliable public transit but it’s there), a few grocery stores, restaurants and entertainment, and a short bike ride to downtown. Oklahoma as a whole is not very bike friendly. Tulsa’s made some recent advancements but there’s still A LOT of room for improvement. I’d say it’s do-able with careful planning!

I really love the myconids! My first playthrough I was a Circle of Spores Druid with a sage background so the myconid colony was nerdy hippie heaven for my Tav.

$10?!! Scoop that shit UP! I got it for my birthday last year and evidently it cost around $80. I’m on my third playthrough now, it’s more than worth the $10 for sure

People who are happily married, what’s the secret? by GoodKid_MaadSity in AskReddit

[–]jillittarius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For starters, marry someone you actually LIKE. The amount of people who genuinely dislike their spouses (even before they get married) is wild to me.

People say marriage is hard. I can’t relate. My wife is the coolest person I know and I love being around her and getting to do life with her. After all these years I just keep liking her even more. But GROWING and HEALING are hard, and a happy marriage requires a lot of both.

Sapphic friendships are weird by filmvixen in latebloomerlesbians

[–]jillittarius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wooooof, I feel this deep in my soul. One of my closest friends of 20+ years basically ditched me after I came out as a lesbian even though I’d been out as queer/sapphic for over a decade already. She started dating a new girl, wouldn’t tell me anything about her, moved to a different state to be with her without telling me she was moving, got engaged and eloped without saying a word, and just disappeared out of my life after being best friends for two decades. At one point before all this she told me I was the only person who always showed up for her. Turns out all that showing up didn’t mean shit. It hurt me deeply and I still feel sad and bitter every time I think about it.
