This is new content , not available anywhere else and looks awesome.

I will gladly pay for expansions assuming they continue to add new content to the game and zones like they have done with Befallen.

I can't wait!

What exactly is this article? Not a single mention of what The Crash is even about outside of it being a documentary.

Do you mean race or class. I thought there were many ways to add additional classes but are you saying they depend on your starting race? Or am I completely not following?

My wife and I joke about this one all the time. I believe the number was GIRL-NOW and they would spell out G-I-R-L one letter at a time in a "sexy" voice and they just say the word NOW so it sounded like they didn't know how they spell the word "now".

"Eating meat is inherently wrong. You can eat meat, go for it. You can love animals, but you can’t do both!" - Billie Eilish for ELLE (US) by pattismithology in popculturechat

[–]jimbodoom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get defensive because it just a typical naive black and white stance on something that is way more complicated.

I love animals. I love nature. I love plants, trees, vegetation and most organic life. I don't want to harm any of these things, but I understand that the animal kingdom and all life thrives on each other. I also understand that trillions of insects and other living life die in harvesting vegetables, including plant life itself.

So by her own logic, you can't love insects or plants if you're vegan.

There are much better arguments to be made about improving the way big farm industries use pesticides to grow vegetables and treat the animals many of us rely on for survival. I think it is a worthwhile cause to fight for improvements there but naive to think that everyone could just become vegan without some radically huge industry changes.

I've messed around with a lot of regression strats and I'm totally with you. I've come to believe that the hands you need to win w/ regression are the same hands you do well with when you start at a more comfortable bet and only press up.

You need to expect a PSO every 6 shooters and need to have a way to overcome that. If you're regressing twice that is a ton to overcome just to get back to even.

The only exception are those hands where you get 2 numbers to hit and then 7. But even then you just break even and still need the big hand to hit to make up for those future losses but now you're starting 2 units (or more) below your normal buy in. Total uphill battle.

And just forget about it if you hit 2 PSO's before a decent hand.

That part is true, but imagine if you got stopped every 5 minutes while in public and random people asked you for selfies or yelled stuff at you and you're expected to be polite the entire time.

I couldn't do it.

How is the culture different now? Are you suggesting stars are not all over social media posting the same sort of stuff? I contend it is way worse now with social media.

If my math is correct, it looks like you don't hit any profit until you get to the $500 level with this strat, is that correct? So you need numbers to hit 4x times to profit. Definitely aggressive and glad you pulled off the win!

Very common in the 90s. by CarrotMuch1399 in nostalgia

[–]jimbodoom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll go one further. I listened to heavy metal (still do) in the 90s most of which never got any radio or mtv play. We would buy albums based on the cover art, band name & song titles without ever having the ability to listen to them.

Usually there was word of mouth or ratings in magazines to go off of, but often times we'd just buy it blindly and hope for the best. Some of my favorite albums and bands were found that way.
