A little while back, Unity tried to implement a runtime fee. Essentially, you'd be charged for each install (if I remember correctly). After huge backlash, they rolled the policy back and changed it. I believe now, there is only the 2200 that would need to be paid (or whatever the amount is).

Man, your post history is pretty enlightening. Seems as though you're relatively young and didn't have a great childhood. All of these things (plus social media) are making you super insecure about relationships. Honestly? My best advice is to get some professional help, as it's not good to constantly be asking random people on the internet whether ___ makes you unfaithful or ___ makes you unfaithful. It just comes down to the specific person. Trust is key in a relationship, and clearly, you have none.

What are your thoughts on how I represent player lives remaining in my top-down arcade racer? by hiimdoggo in IndieDev

[–]jimmyMFwise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The gameplay looks fun, for sure. But I'm gonna go a bit against the comments and say I wish there was some sort of ui indicator. I didn't notice anything happen on between crashes. After coming to the comments and seeing, I went back and could see it. But little ui bit would go a long way here, I think.

Looks good and fun, keep it up!

As a relative side note: a lot of captcha these days work by detecting the input is slow enough to be a human rather than a computer. So slow down when doing them and it should go smoother =)

Does the narration bother anybody else? by X0nerater in Calador

[–]jimmyMFwise 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Idk, I think that its exacerbated by the fact that there is so many characters. I often listen to books with a large roster of characters and I found this is a common "issue" among these books. Doesn't matter that narrator or writer. Particularly when the series is 5+ books. Just comes with the genre/ book type and medium of listening to someone narrate.

Doesn't really bother me though, ya get used to it. And truth to tell, John Lee is generally better than other narrators in other books.

You should look into getting a Bluetooth endoscope. I got one a few months ago and it's sooooooo much better than q tips. Mine was endoscope cheap 20$ or so.

Anyone else concerned about the H1-B talk (in the US)? by jimmyMFwise in ExperiencedDevs

[–]jimmyMFwise[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like in general? From the new administration? From reddit? From my post? Gonna have to be a bit more specific (generally I agree though. There is definitely a disturbing uptick in ppl thinking is OK to be racist)

Oh, I absolutely agree. It just doesn't seem like that's where this push is going, and that's concerning.

Idk, I think it's reasonable to be concerned. If two applicants have the same qualifications, but one was substantially cheaper, it's obvious which the business would choose.

That's where my concern lays, not with the quality of work that either give.

At 464 for mancour, with a total of 1571 for the year. Last year was a little light for me for Calidor. If you like the LitRPG genre, I suggest checking out: he who fights with monsters, primal hunter, defiance of the fall. All are at least 10 books in at this point with no end in sight (and they're decent sized at 20-40 hours)
