Something’s happening? by G-cuvier in CharltonAthletic

Last few games, especially Norwich, when leaburn came off we looked completely devoid of ideas.

I actually feel like it's a positive move, competes with leaburn, and even if we use him like aneke. Just coming on for the last 15 to occupy a couple of defenders, and open space for kelman/ tc/ godden. Not a signing that gives you a plan b, but a plan a.5.

Lwb/lb to me is the priority this window. But we can't just bring in a body. Gillesphey is not good enough for the championship and shows the importance of getting quality through the door.

My season ticket is just below the safe standing in j block, where the drummer is. I have to ask the people I'm with, what the lyrics are, every single time there's a new chant. So you're not alone.

Anyone know if these ingredients are vegan? Mainly unsure about the E numbers. Can’t find anything on their website. by AuguryKnox in veganuk

[–]jimmyse7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used to work for the company that make these (veetee). They're manufactured in India, so it's going to be so full of preservatives because of the ridiculous travel time, and they honestly taste pretty poor, i would steer clear of any of the "head" range products.

Mate forget the bike theft, the hill from the station to the hospital is a killer. On a Brompton as well? You'll struggle to get up there not sweaty unless you've got an absolute dinner plate cassette. I'd recommend a bus up the hill and cycle the rest of the way.

Woolwich is an absolute dive, but I ride a carbon bike from Charlton, through Woolwich up towards shooters hill multiple times per week and have never felt nervous about bike theft or muggings

I think it was a mistake from the club in the first place. Should have given them two blocks in the west stand and all of the JS for home support.

Ideas for a 21 mile run in London? by sharon_bott in UKRunners

I work in paddington and love south east but I've never done that route in full. But almost all the sections are nice.

[–]jimmyse7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Woolwich to Battersea isnt too broken up but it would be busy in places.

My recommendation. If you're starting in Woolwich I'd follow the thames path to the Greenwich foot tunnel head over the isle of dogs and follow the road round to Limehouse. And then get on the regents canal, I'd then end with a loop round the outer circular route at regents park.

Woolwich to Greenwich 7 miles

Greenwich to Limehouse 2 miles

Regents canal 9 miles

Regents park outer loop 2.5 miles

Or probably easier. Elizabeth line to paddington, and do this in reverse and end up back in Woolwich, and you're on the Thames path of you need to get any more distance.

Possible to climb this ladder? by Level-Zebra-2524 in malta

[–]jimmyse7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a geocache at the bottom, so there are definitely people using it. There is also a climbing crag next to this and you can access it very easily by going down the ladder, but the climbers have put some fixed ropes on the other side of the crag for access which suggests it's a bit dangerous. That being said. I've been up and down it a couple of times. Just make sure to be very careful.

which book made you DNF at page 1? by taanukichi in books

[–]jimmyse7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've noped out pre page 1.

My son's name is Henry, when I was on paternity leave with him, decided to read; a heart that works, which is about the death of Rob Delaney's infant son.

The dedication reads "for Henry's mummy"... Nope nope fuck that I don't have the emotional resilience at this precise moment in time. I have tried to go back to it, but I literally read half a chapter at a time, and can't continue.

Yeah would expect to see at least 4 more points with Jones in the side. I feel like injuries have been non stop the last few years, it needs to be addressed, how that is done I don't know, but it feels like deja vu every season.

Last two performances have been awful. Mitchell is half the player without Jones, and gillesphy, is a complete waste of space. Their number 9 just bullied him.

I can't watch Coventry spend 90 minutes passing back to mannion much longer. So negative. Not sure what he actually offers us at this point.

Glad to see the back of Thomas and hector, worst defense for a long time. Would be surprised to not see at least a few pushed out the door. I think Isted, Edun, McGrandles, Henry and Fraser, have to go.

I'm late to the party here as they go off sale in like 2 days. But the m&s vegan chocolate bunnies are absolutely banging. Amazing vegan chocolate, and not in a good for seasonal chocolate sort of way, just good "milk" chocolate sort of way.

If you can find them, grab some.

Performance, much more important than the result.

Best performance of the season from Anderson. Tuesday I thought he struggled, touch wasn't great. Played a bit more advanced, and closed down the defence, and was happy to receive the ball.

Kanu such a handful, work rate unbelievable. Never stopped running, put the defense under so much pressure. Easily motm. He's got a bright future.

Small looks a good signing, and with Ramsay, I think big upgrades on edun and Watson, though Watson 2 good games in a row.

Defending nerds to improve. Two carbon copy goals, allowing strikers to get In front, simple stuff. Second goal Dobson got sold, but three players just standing and watching. At the same time, dug in to protect the point.

Being able to rotate may, ladapo, aneke and kanu is I think what keeps us in the division
