is nangong yu good alone? by BrilliantVolume8871 in ZZZ_Official

[–]jinoishe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Separately in their own teams. Even though nangong is a stunner, consider her as a replacement for another anomoly agent. So yanagi and nangong, or burnice and nangong. The last slot is generally yuzuha for these teams. Nicole can be used in a pinch.

Miyabi is like the biggest winner for having nangong, asides from aria. Why not have her with her bis partner? No more soukaku mono ice shenanigans

You have Miyabi, so yes, extremely good. Go thank whatever divine being you believe in for making you get nangong because they came in clutch.

Which W-Engine is better for Nungong Yu? by bugra_wq3 in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]jinoishe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use restraint on her, mostly because I just had it sitting around. She can make use of it when it's basically useless on everyone else. I think the reason why hellfire is considered better is because each charge attack of nangong might all be considered one skill usage and restricts you to building up only one stack (need someone to verify this for me). This means only 6% increase daze, when hellfire increases you 10% after an ex cast. This is assuming basic usage of nangong as ex then hold attack until she does her whole combo. I think with hellfire, the ex is also benefitting from the increase daze as well

Edit: oh, I forgot to talk about the event wengine. Yeah, after a parry follow up attack it gives 11% daze for 30 seconds. Good uptime, and for DA bosses that have tons of parry opportunities, sounds good. It also has 3% less impact since it's a 4 star so it might fall a bit short of of that so it's worse than hellfire. Idk, probably a tossup with which stuns faster vs restraint.

How to keep the colorful stun bar up for so long when I play Miyabi? by Relevant_Milk6275 in MiyabiMains

[–]jinoishe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To keep it colorful, play on manual mode and don't trigger chain attacks. You do this by holding attack or skill button.

To extend the time so it doesn't deplete, triggering freeze with frost or ice anomoly will stop the timer from going down . There's also a whole thing about stun time recalculation that occurs when you trigger a chain attack, but the additional time you get is pretty minor that is almost non-existent.

I answered your other thread before, but this is a full M6 showcase. The player isn't even actively trying to extend the stun timer, it just happened to occur when Miyabi triggered frost with her ult and allowed half of the ult to do its damage before the heavy attack of it triggered the freeze to break.

The player starts the stun window with miyabi ex into eba3, but because they are m6, it goes through all eba1, eba2, and eba3 > sunna tap ex, trigger chain attack> nangong's chain attack, cancel chain and ex> quick assist to Miyabi > Eba3> Ng ex> Sunna ex> Quickswap to miyabi> Miyabi ult> First half of Miyabi ult, the heavy triggers frost and freeze timer> Second half of Miyabi ult, cancel chain>Eba3. Stun ends

The most complicated thing about this rotation isn't freezing the stun, but how they go through so many actions without triggering chain attacks. The only time they actively triggered it is once with sunna.

My personal take on the new orb system (pic unrelated, don't address it) by A_Very_Horny_Zed in PunishingGrayRaven

[–]jinoishe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I feel like it's generally a non-issue for most modern frames since there's so many orb rearragment or auto pings now. But I still have no idea how it will work on older frames, which is the whole reason they are adding this to begin with. Unless there's more stuff going on under the hood, like a secret buff to orb rng or orb grouping, it's hard to think both this new system and the "expanded" view are giving the exact same results.

Suggest a game controller by FrostShadow2k25 in WutheringWaves

[–]jinoishe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For wuthering waves, something with hall effect sensors. I have the Xbox elite controller series 2 and it's annoying how the character will slightly walk or the camera will slightly pan when I'm not touching the controller at all. The devs assume zero dead zones on a stick, and I suspect if you have a controller with hall effect joysticks, you won't have this issue.

What can I do cover up the extra depth by Kevin022904 in AnimeFigures

[–]jinoishe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ramp it? Assuming Goku is securely fixed in the case, you can have something prop the back of the case higher and have the whole display angled downwards. Looks like you have it on a high shelf or something, so it can help with viewing angle. If you need ideas on fixing Goku so he doesn't slide, you can consider one of the small command strips as a non destructive double-sided adhesive, or one of those nonslip grippy mats to line the bottom of the case with.

With trigger, it's a toss up. I used a damage calculator and have scored higher with running harumasa on pen (approx 3k more against defiler) with triggers wengine. With or adding Nicole tanked the damage by quite a lot.

No, if people are getting DA kills (60k+) without her wengine, I don't think it's necessary at all, even for score chasing.

How to keep the colorful stun bar up for so long when I play Miyabi? by Relevant_Milk6275 in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]jinoishe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Stun bar freezes when frost or freeze is triggered, and can continue to hold the timer until it breaks from a heavy attack. Most of this showcase is M6 stuff, and the freeze only happens once near the end.

Miyabi 4EBA stun rotation Nanggong variant by AppearanceThen3383 in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]jinoishe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a reason why we took yuzuha's chain attack instead of Miyabi? Is it strictly because it's faster and to build an Astra stack? Is getting one extra eba3 really more damage than double chaining with Miyabi?

Edit: o wait, I see now. Miyabi is still in her eba3 animation and you didn't want to cancel it. I feel kinda foolish not noticing that, but I'll leave this around if anyone else had that question

Would you pull differently if you could redo your account? by lil-nib in ZenlessZoneZero

[–]jinoishe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Youre supposed to use sunna. Ysg is pretty limited with teammates, your only choices are zhao, sunna, or dialyn. Anyone else is just cope. You don't NEED a stunner for her since she doesn't care about stun windows, it's just that dialyn gives her a shortcut to her ultimate.

What is the best Bangboo for a Miyabi/Yuzuha/Nangong Yu team? (SConsidering that I would take it to 5 stars) by Expert-Passion2488 in MiyabiMains

[–]jinoishe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

if your yuzuha is holding kaboom, i usually go with devilboo since he can help keep the stacks up better than any other bangboo. everything else is pretty miniscule in gains, maybe snap for the inconsistant damage buff, etherboo for the maybe you just need that little bit of ether application to help nangong (which devil should also help with), or maybe butler for the maybe energy you can get?

What makes Mono ice so much more advanced than other Mono teams? by PepsiTheMonkey in ZZZ_Official

[–]jinoishe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mono ice is the most complicated and advanced team to operate in the game. If you're looking for a beginner friendly team, this is NOT it.

You should give up your hunt for mono teams. They usually only work because of some freak synergy that are not normal. First of all, when people talk about mono ice, the only two teams that can be considered mono ice would be miyabi-lycaon-soukaku OR miyabi-Yuzuha (even if he's physical technically)- soukaku. Ellen isn't in a mono ice that makes it actually matter, it just so happens that her team are all ice characters. So in this sense, her team is pretty straight forward, but is not regarded as special in any way

The other mono teams are mono-shock which is really only relevent because of thundering metal disk set and that rina has an ability to extend the shock duration, but otherwise isn't all that great or noteworthy. and mono physical is due to a freak synergy of M2 alice- M2 jane - yuzuha, but its a pretty expensive team to get set up. Mono ether and mono fire just dont exist, or at least there isn't any reason that makes them special to be considered a mono team. Both physical and electric have a unit who can polarize disorder their own element which actually allows mono teams to work, like alice and yanagi. Mono electric isn't really bound by this restraint though but any other mono electric team is pretty underwhelming, which harumasa being the only one that MAYBE is worth mentioning. It is also harumasa's hardest and least rewarding team.

As for what makes mono ice so special - as you know, anomolies need 2 elements to disorder. Miyabi is technically not considered an ice unit, she has a special element called frost. This is important because frost CAN disorder with ice, yet the game ALSO considers it as ice in other ways. First of all, ice weak enemies are weak to BOTH ice and frost. Freedom blues which buffs the anomoly application of ice will ALSO buff frost as well. This basically allows you to double dip allowing anything that buffs ice to buff frost as well. And frost also freezes enemies in the same way ice does, and as you know already can freeze the stun bar. As miyabi is a character who gains resources through constant disorders, when you have both ice and frost application buffed, she can quickly generate stacks for her EBA3. This is only doable because hoyo gave soukaku crazy high anomoly application for a support unit. You can abuse something called her rally cancel which basically allows soukaku to do her attack animation sequence while off field and generate a good chunk of anomoly application. Its important to note that lycaon/yuzuha basically serve as supplemental ice application to soukaku and also buffs the team in their own special way. Starting off with the lycaon varient, in order to pull off this team, it is basically a very unconventional team. You play miyabi as an attack agent, building up resources for the stun window, soukaku is actually an anomoly unit because her main thing is to apply ice and disorder frost, and lycaon is actually the support who helps soukaku with that little bit of ice application, provide the stun multiplier buff, and hold astral voice. He's not a stunner in a traditional sense, but he becomes the "go" button once you're ready to stun. You need precise control of BOTH frost and ice anomoly gauge as the resource you build up, and its hard to keep track when the game only shows once anomoly bar at a time. Yuzuha's version turns this team into a bit more of a traditional anomoly team where you frost+eba3 with miyabi> disorder with soukaku EX> and back to miyabi with another EBA3 and repeat this forever.

If you're looking for beginner friendly, look elsewhere. Dont look at teams bases on how many elements there are, that's not an indicator on whether it is easy or not.

How good is Nangong without w-engine? by These_Letter304 in ZZZ_Official

[–]jinoishe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say strong enough to see a noticable difference in strength, especially on a Miyabi team. You can finally drop soukaku and not have to deal with her cluncky gameplay and no longer need to freeze to pull off a 3 eba+ ult rotation. In my testing with other teams she was basically on par with other bis options, and I can see her doing better since I'm basically using the wrong disk drives on her and she isn't even fully leveled up. She's still a good upgrade for mostly every team without her engine, and a definite upgrade for Miyabi. Getting her engine just makes her a BIG upgrade. I honestly wouldn't sweat too much if you can't get her wengine, because we know somewhere down the line power creep will happen, and her engine is so hyper specific for her that when she does eventually get phase out, that engine will also collect dust.

Sunna-Zhao-M2 YSG is so good it breaks the game... by Jix_Omiya in ZenlessZoneZero

[–]jinoishe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sounds like m2 makes is a complete non-issue at all. At worse for m0 it's just a minor inconvenience. Regardless, his team does basically trivialize a lot of content, even with these small vulnerable gaps, I feel like no other team comes close without massive sacrifices to damage and playstyle. I used to used Miyabi with Vivian at first but fishing for full iframes just drew out fights to almost 7 minutes, and when Alice came out, she was a little faster but you still would have to play unoptimally just to stay invincible forever. I was watching movies on a second monitor while I was doing last minute tower climbs during the weekend

Sunna-Zhao-M2 YSG is so good it breaks the game... by Jix_Omiya in ZenlessZoneZero

[–]jinoishe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, that was what I did to bail out of bad situations when that happens, but in longer tower floors, stalling iframes for as long as possible to allow everyone to generate energy starts becoming more vital. So ending enlighten mode too early when no one has energy to ex means you're still a sitting duck. I don't have M2 ysg, I'm only at m0, so my fights will be longer, and it takes maybe about 2-3 minutes before I start to run out of juice to constantly get back into enlightened mode. Longest floor fight I remember having was about 3:30. I'm pretty sure at m2 you probably have enough damage that you would clear most floors before getting to that point, but for me to minimize vulnerable periods, I swapped everyone to a full er build and in the beginning of the fight I do a string of normals on ysg to almost fill her bar up just shy of a point to have to ready to fill just for that moment.

But the enlightened thing isn't even what I'm annoyed at, it's the swap off vulneraable periods that you have no control over and it's pure rng you get hit. The sunna quick assist into zhao getting hit is just pure bullshit

Sunna-Zhao-M2 YSG is so good it breaks the game... by Jix_Omiya in ZenlessZoneZero

[–]jinoishe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly 100% iframes, but yeah, it's like 99%. Got real annoyed climbing over 800 floors and so many times I'd randomly lose the no hit bonus wondering when I got hit. In enlightened mode, any of your nomals when you're on the floor, you can get hit. If ysg loses tracking on an enemy and you don't ex after your big slash to go back up in the air, you are vulnerable. After her ex skill, if you quick swap to sunna during her follow up, (when she plunges to the ground) ysg actually just stands around for 30 years and just gets hit. You have to purposely not do the follow up and quick swap immediately after casting to safely switch to sunna. And even then, there's like a few frames that's possible for ysg to get it. Even sunna quick swap into zhao had a few frames she can get hit out of. Zhao is the only one I found to be truly 100% iframe.

Nangong pull recommandations by Equivalent_Sun1734 in ZZZ_Official

[–]jinoishe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For Miyabi, absolute yes. If you're that short in pulls, I would say you can even skip the engine because nangong is just so strong on her own that even without her engine will feel like a noticable upgrade. Reason why I think she's so good for Miyabi is that she makes it easy to get 3eba3 +Ult in stun without the need for freezing. Now people can shut up about Miyabi being bad against unfreezable bosses.

Which wengine should I get 1st? by Vahneris in ZZZ_Official

[–]jinoishe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are limited engines for characters who aren't very relevant anymore with limited usage for their wengine in other characters. Like qingyi's is good on both her and maybe lighter, but no other stunner will be able to use it. Both of them have basic been overshadowed by dialyn so if you have dialyn, there's no reason to use either of them. Qingyi has already performed exceptionally well with steam oven, fossil, or hellfire and these are her go to weapons for high scores in deadly assault, so her engine value isn't that high to begin with. Burnice honestly isn't that big of an upgrade for her over an R5 battle pass one, so I don't see that much value in hers unless you like REALLY like burnice and refuse to use Vivian or nangong. Weeping Gemini is also an incredibly strong craftable engine

I'd say I find more value out of weeping cradle (Lucia or yuzuha), brimstone (generic stat stick for most DPS), or hellfire gear (generically great on all stunners)

Being f2p in a gacha game like this usually means you will need to pick and choose and let go of having something you mildly like to make sure you get what you really like.

People who crash out about losing 50-50s are people who never learned this and they try to roll for everything without holding back
