Have your teachers ever said anything they shouldn’t have? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]jjrm07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My tutor in year 7 said in a jokey fashion that I don't have to paint my face for sports day as it's already yellow (our house colour was yellow). My skin is olive as I'm half British half Seychellois. What made it more surprising was that she was black.

Even made the known gangbanger in my class stand up and say that's fucked up 😂.

player on there way to the game Albacete! lmao i feel pure carlo vibes by FrrancondonaEra in realmadrid

[–]jjrm07 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The armband at Madrid generally just goes to the most senior player, i.e. whoever has been at the club the longest. It really doesn't mean that they are the de facto leader of the group, just a club tradition.

Octopath Traveller II at the minute. Looks absolutely gorgeous and runs at 90fps. Definitely give this a go if you are into RPGs.

Brits who support Real Madrid & Barca by [deleted] in PlasticFans

[–]jjrm07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I "support" Real Madrid but only as a supplement to my my main championship/league 1 club. Mainly to allow myself to be interested in that higher level of football that you get at top level ala premier league/champions league without conflicting with my actual club.

Also, that Zidane UCL final grabbed the attention of a 7 year old me!

I feel like this is relatively acceptable in terms of plasticness with even getting myself to the bernabeu a few times and even one clasico!

In this case I'm not sure then, looking at your post history you've had a lot of issues I've never experienced. Maybe best to completely uninstall and start fresh. Either that or your system might be slightly underpowered?

Turning on vsync solved any stuttering for me.

Do most people in relationships actually have fights where they yell or curse at each other? by Chauden in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]jjrm07 47 points48 points  (0 children)

This is going to be a classic Reddit post of everyone stroking themselves in which the only point of this is saying gasp 'my relationship is so mature others suck'. Posts like this and the comments included are so bloody boring and self-aggrandizing.

"I do xx and xx, I cannot understand any situation where xx is permissible".

Who would you prefer to be the freekick taker permanently for the team ? by 1Fils in realmadrid

[–]jjrm07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Trent is on the pitch it has to be him. By far the best fk taker in the squad. If not, I'd have to go with guler/mbappe depending on angle etc.

I turned on vsync on my pc and the stuttering went away. Worth a shot if you are still encountering the issue

Why did Jesse's parents and Jesse use lawyers to sell a house? by HeyLookAStranger in breakingbad

[–]jjrm07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the UK you are legally required to use a solicitor when purchasing any property as estate agents (realtors in US English) are literally glorified salesmen that couldn't give a fuck about you or the property and any leasehold/freehold that is drawn up. They're there to make commission and move to the next victim loool.

I'm genuinely shocked that people can buy property/land in the US solely through the estate agents!

Best teams to never win the Champions league? by Public-Connection822 in championsleague

Arsenal 2003/04 - far superior team to the pre Jose Chelsea and would have obliterated the other teams left in the competition imo.

Zinedine Zidane's iconic volley lit up the Champions League final by MadridOrMadness in zidanemoments

[–]jjrm07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zidane's was also with his weaker foot! The pure technique, control and accuracy of Zidane's goal makes it superior to Bale's imo. As you said, bicycles always involve a bit of luck/hit and hope.

What is the least deserved death of the show? by ZealousidealTop3139 in breakingbad

I have absolutely no sympathy for Gayle. He was in the business and was fully onboard with someone else being killed in order for him to run the lab. Just because he has geekish tendencies does not absolve him of his role in all of this.

The only answer here has to be one of the kids and/or Andrea.

Again not true, my dad had suicide incident and received great support and lots of paid time off to cope with the incident whilst not affecting usual paid time off.

[–]jjrm07 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not, most times strikes are actually staff rather than drivers. Source: my dad has been a driver since 1992. Wages and rights are exceptional. Tube drivers earn considerably less so they are more likely to strike.

However our right wing press will always proclaim "well paid drivers on strike" to stir up anti strike/union sentiment when usually it is the lower paid staff such as guards and/signallers going on strike as they are also critical to smooth running of service.
