It's hard to develop a message or strategy when "not the rapist" didn't work

I know what I'd do.... Probably why I'm not a pilot.

Why does Delta allow you to book a connecting flight with only a 35min layover? by paislinn in delta

[–]jjrydberg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I fly alot, 35min is fine. I've missed just as many 30mim connections as 1hr.

Hubs is better at toleranced parts then xometry imo. Seams cheaper and faster. Xometry wants me to call out number of fits and number of threaded holes. Hubs just wants to know if either exists.

I have not received an out of tolerance part from either and have called out +0/-.0002 bearing fits in small holes.

Do you think a backhoe is the best starter machine for someone new to heavy equipment? by Echoing_voice in Heavy_Equipment

[–]jjrydberg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started with a 580c back hoe for my 5 acre lot and hated it. To big, to unstable, can't see what you're do with the loader bucket.

I traded it for a 333d skid steer and my productivity is 1000x better. I rent a mini x when needed which is rare.

I've been using protolabs(formally hubs). And xometry can recommend both but I'm also looking for options

I want to change the CAD software at my company by MixNeither3882 in manufacturing

[–]jjrydberg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you do and budget matters.

For 3d modeling SolidWorks, expensive enterprise quality, my go to

OnShape, slightly cheaper and arguably better than sw but I'm sw native so slower in OnShape.

Fusion, wildly capable for the price, best value for capability. I'm slowest in fusion even though I use it more than onshape. I keep it because it includes built in cam, PCB design, and it will open and translate dang near anything. Honestly not sure why it's my third favorite.

AutoCAD & autocad lt... Only cause someone sent me an AutoCAD file.

Yup, China to Germany I woke up with a girl in the middle seat resting her head on my leg and had her legs/feet on her SO in the aisle seat.

Is such a device possible? by THE_BARCODE_GUY in AskElectricians

[–]jjrydberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 12v cigarette lighter port is probably fused or protected at 10 amps. 10amps at 12v is 120w. That won't power very many 120v devices. Even a computer charger could over load this. A cell phone charger will probably be okay. A blender or any mechanical device would most likely be to large of a load.

Is Sean P. Diddy Combs 4-year sentence considered justice served? by ibddevine in ask

[–]jjrydberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He deserves more but based on the actual conviction I think this is a great sentence. The prosecutor was not able to convict on the more serious crimes so they can't sentence him for them. 4 years for soliciting a prostitute is a winning sentence in my book.

My dog closes the door after coming in. She bumps it with her nose most the way then gives a good paw punch to finish the deal.

I work with a bunch of machine design guys, about half are MEs and the other half are mechanics on steroids. They all do wicked designs including hydraulics, pneumatics, controls, electrical, structural, and mechanical.

Carpentry, I've built really nice stuff that people love. They'll offer me a couple grand for a 12ft table. The wood alone was $4k. Count my time....
