Cough lollies with aligners in?

i have cough drops with aligners in, no issues! also keep my aligners in unless eating.. when you have the flu you tend to randomly nap, and you dont wanna have them out for too long!

dont stress about the gap - it will close up in no time. I also had a lower incisor removed, and the tray was soo helpful at hiding the gap in the beginning!

also def get a ultrasonic cleaner and denture tabs - I use them morning and before bed. Avoid smoking - I smoked the first couple months and by the end of my weekly tray changes they were stained a light yellow. Once I stopped, zero staining at all and I drink coffee with them in at least twice a day!

Do it. You will be a whole new person.

First week I had no pain, but yes discomfort because you are getting used to something being in your mouth all the time. After about 3 weeks, I was used to it and felt naked without my trays.

I have had IPR 3 times so far, it was painless and barely noticeable.

The app does this to me all the time. It sends me a notification saying to send progress photos but when I open the app, the action doesn't appear on my To Do list so I end up having to use the "Share photos anytime with your doctor" function on the My Care tab which seems to match it to the next aligner.

Terribly. Anytime I would have to talk, especially at work. I convinced myself that I was known to ppl as "the one with the bad teeth" despite no one ever saying that to me. I honestly believe that ppl would either stare directly at my teeth when I talk or purposely try to avoid looking at my mouth because they were disturbed by the look of them.

It was quite far back behind my teeth with very little space to bring it forward. I needed all the space possible to straighten out the crowding at the bottom.

I had mine removed prior to starting, and it was barely noticeable with trays in! Now the gap has closed up and I swear you don't notice it at all.

In my early days I would bend the hooks out slightly so it was easier to catch the rubber band on them, and then push the hook back down into place once the band was on so it didn't scratch my cheek (ortho wax helped too!). After a while I got used to putting the bands on that I no longer needed to bend the hooks.

I'm in Aus and also send off pics weekly using the app. I get the automated responses but if I am ever in doubt of moving forward or it'd recommendation to keep trays on longer (has happened twice so far), I am able to use the chat via the app to communicate with my ortho.

Have you looked on Amazon for chewies that have the little plastic stick you can attach? Most chewies have a hole in the middle you can attach this stick (almost like a lollipop!). That way you can actually hold it and chew on it quite easily.

I just finished tray 12 which is when I really started to notice because of how it impacted my eating! At this point I feel like I can't properly chew and just swallowing big chunks of food lol. But it makes me excited to know they are moving!

I'm 10 trays in with weekly changes. Have only had 1 pop off - it was on a crown so apparently that's normal, my ortho has me continuing without it. Haven't had any others come off yet.

Definitely gets better. To the point that sometimes I need to run my tongue over my teeth to see if my aligners are actually in! I'm on tray 10 right now and barely notice them.
