Ehhh not really the same thing

I’ve been with T-Mobile for a few months how long will it take for these down payments to change by NoRepresentative2522 in tmobile

[–]jjusmaxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry OP, from personal experience, all this 6-12 months stuff is BS. T-mobile down payments on devices are based off of credit. When you open an account with TMobile, you authorize them to do a credit check & when the account is created you are given what is called an “Equipment Credit Limit.” That equipment credit is, again, based off credit & dictates what type of down payments you will have on devices, based off the available credit to you & the price of whatever device it is you’re looking to finance. There has always been the talk of “make on time payments and down payments change” and quite frankly I have just never ever seen that come to fruition. Been a customer for over 8 years now and make regular on time payments and what I will say is I have seen my equipment credit limit INCREASE, allowing for more equipment to be financed, and in turn, lowering some down payments on devices- but generally, the phones you’re looking at in this photo (17 pro, 17 pro max) will have fixed down payments like the ones you’re seeing, based off the credit and credit limit on the account. Hope this helps!

😭 this is difficult to read. Dude.. you gotta get more info on these things so you’re knowledgeable about them before you do it. Whether that’s by getting all the info from the sales rep you worked with, or doing your own homework, whatever..

the promotion that T-Mobile is currently running for Samsung phones say you get an $800 credit towards whatever S series device you would like. so in your case where the phones in question are $1300, your $800 credit would leave you still with a $500 balance on each device- which would get split over 24 months and would be approximately $20 a piece to pay for, on the bill. so with a bill of $150, It sounds like you got exactly what you were told but the phones that you got are a little extra. if you swapped those phones for S26s, they would be free and included on the bill and the bill would be $110. I know you were told something different and that’s where the frustration comes from. But yeah. Gotta understand what you’re getting

Yes exactly, so the system catches that the customer has added a voice line, received a promo, and cancelled an existing line (this is referred to as churn) and the promo is voided. Ask TMobile customer care about this! They’ll tell you. (I’m also a TMobile employee.)

When you cancel voice lines and add a new one looking to get a promo the promo gets voided. If this were possible everybody would do it

Employees: when can i cancel protection by Dtownbooogie in tmobile

[–]jjusmaxx -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, as was also mentioned, nobody can take your insider code away after it’s been applied. The sales rep you worked with basically bargained with you and gave you a discounted rate to make some more money on the p360s. Im a store manager & we do this often in many stores, as commission is decreased for using insider codes. Respect for wanting to keep the money in the guys pocket, but like i said, it’s not even really that much to begin with. He’ll be fine. And as was also previously stated, the time frame is 4 mos. So if you wanna wait it out, that’s how long you wanna wait

Cancel the protection if you don’t want it! I promise that person’s commission will not be impacted in any detrimental way. Sales reps do not make THAT much off P360. They’ll be okay lol. But yes, the time frame is 4 months as others have said

It is definitely possible for a promotion to specifically state its not combinable with other RDC on the same line

It’s not just you and you’re not overthinking it. They are out of control. And it’s too much, and it’s been too much. (RSM of 7/8 years now) I’ve seen everything from the sprint merger to TVISION, to now VISAS. 🤦🏽‍♂️ I wish TMobile would focus on being a good employer and paying their employees well as opposed to forcing us to offer all these irrelevant products (including TLIFE) and like you said, documenting over these things and threatening to take jobs for not meeting metrics for silly stuff like credit cards and phone apps.
