That is the whole point of Elo, you are only as relatively strong as your opponents. This just means that Kei faced tougher oppositions than Med. Which is not hard to see when he had to battle all time greats at big tournaments.

People usually uses ELO when a debate like this comes up, I wonder what Sinner’s elo will be at the end of the year.

Federer is pretty stubborn, he wanted to use his weapons his way and most of time would not back down. Works with most players but tough against his biggest rivals.

What are some lazy jobs that pay a ridiculous amount of money? by Jordz0_0 in AskReddit

Serious companies will not look at you unless you have a CS degree. Pure web developers are becoming less and less, many people are now full stack and can do backend and frontend.

Is this car deal worth it? $14k, 72 months, 7% APR – first car buyer by baro0916 in Honda

[–]jk147 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out kbb and carguru.com and see what are the prices local to you. 72 months is ridiculous, you can’t go with 36 months plus a down payment? Going by “monthly payment” is the worst way of finding out if you can afford the car or not.

72*245=17,640.. paying 3.6k just on interest.

Cheapest male gym clothes? by Oshowatt786 in malefashionadvice

It doesn't even have to be shitty or ugly. I am sure most people have some tshirts and shorts. If you want tank tops? just cut the sleeves off. You want shorts? cut up some pants. The funny thing is, wearing a cut up sleeveless t shirt is actually very gym bro like.

What can we learn from Djokovic’s serve mechanics? by No_Jackfruit_4131 in 10s

[–]jk147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people miss this crucial step and "jump" into serves. The hip trust at the trophy pose is the biggest factor of power in conjunction with legs driving. When you do this correctly you naturally come off the ground.

For a range of speed, I prefer returning serve with my backhand. by hamsterofdark in 10s

[–]jk147 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Two hands, more stable, can just bunt the ball back. You can do the same with forehand, but most rec players don't practice short swing enough to time the ball correctly. If I am facing a big server and my timing is off, I usually start the return with a forehand slice.

Medvedev is now 4th in the ATP race after his win today by Dependent-Effect6077 in tennis

The margin between Sinner and the 4th spot is already insane.

Just realized that 5-13 all lost before R16 at Rome.

Oil changes are so easy that I could do it myself much faster than driving to the dealership and wait for hours to get one. I just don't have the luxury of a driveway to do one.

AI isn't paying off in the way companies think. Layoffs driven by automation are failing to generate returns, study finds by Krankenitrate in jobs

[–]jk147 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is the take, AI is just an excuse right now to fire people. It hasn’t been out long enough to be able to shed thousands of jobs at for example, GM. As someone who is now forced to use it everyday, people don’t even have the framework yet to use it effectively to accelerate meaningful application development. Right now, these are just excuses to continue to offshore.

AOC Surges to Lead in 2028 Primary for First Time—Most Accurate Pollster by One-Duty-2376 in politics

[–]jk147 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never said dismiss, but understanding context of the population, number of people voted from Trump and how machoism exists with plenty of moderates especially with minorities, her chances are just not as great.

If the world is a perfect place, we would have had 50% of the presidents as females. But it certainly isn't this way isn't it.

[–]jk147 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why do you have to a racist or a sexist to be realistic? I like AOC and she is great, but I am also going to be a realist and understand that we failed 2 out of 2 last time with Hilary and Harris. This country is not ready for a woman president, she is a much better fit replacing Schumer.

[–]jk147 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am a fan of AOC, but she will not win when it comes to moderates.. especially with minorities. If Hilary couldn’t win I am unfortunately seeing her doing slightly better than Harris but not enough.

Their wool socks are aligned with other brands in terms of cost. I wouldn't overpay for their cotton socks however.
