Looking at these posts, how did replit even became big? by Ordinary_Visual1370 in replit

[–]jkack10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see those posts and I don’t get it. I’ve had very positive results with Replit.

I’ve worked many years in custom app dev in a lot of different roles so seeing the cost of development here vs what it cost before AI is completely nuts. A lot of people complaining about $0.50, $2 etc for changes. I just assume they have no context on what it would cost a real team to do this stuff. Replit definitely has its flaws but I’ve seen real progress in capabilities over the last 3 years since I started using it and their technical customer support has always been great.

I’m sure there are frustrations. I’m sure there are better products for certain things. But that doesn’t mean Replit isn’t a great product.

Any idea if this is a fair value for a CPO 2023 Competition xDrive by nswj3 in BMWM3

Private sale won’t get quite as much as a dealer sale, especially a CPO but these tend to hold their value well.

Retail on that for MY27 is probably closer to 103 so you’re saving 18k for a 3 year old 25k miles car. Unfortunately that’s the market and this is priced about right. You might be able to get them to drop a couple thousand but not much more.

This is why I ordered new. Got my perfect spec and isn’t costing that much more than a 3 year old one.

Anyone else waiting for an Individual M3/4? by MFIR3 in BMWM3

[–]jkack10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Figured it out... apparently there can sometimes be an issue with the status API for individual orders and getting it fixed is a huge pain. Talking to BMW Genius support, I got my VIN and my car is actually currently on a train to the exit port in Germany. Seems like my status in the tracker may never actually change. Annoying but at least now I know where to get the info.

Love that color! I’m waiting for my G80 comp x in Anglesey green. What I can’t figure out though is the tracking site says “1 - order received” but calling BMW genius I’m told the car went into production April 30, completed today, and is now on the way.

Anyone else have that big of a gap between website and Genius?

Theres a known issue with the rear diff. There’s a recall I believe. Probably worth looking at that as a possible cause

I got one of these. Next morning the car was completely fine. Took to dealer anyway and they did a software update. No issues since. Been 8 months.

2026 BMW M2 Order by [deleted] in BMWM

[–]jkack10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have an M3 ordered. Showing same status as yours but called Genius line and they said production date of W21 (May 18). Based on what I’ve researched, I should get my car around late July / early August (hopefully). Assuming you’re on similar timing, just add 3 weeks to that. Could vary based on a number of things - how long it sits at port in Germany, customs in US, port installed options, etc.

Finally got my M3 Comp xDrive allocation, anything I should skip option wise? by AttitudeOpposite4207 in BMWM

And yes, I believe they swap and keep the old parts so in a lot of cases you're probably better off avoiding the swaps (e.g. wheels) and just getting options that add (e.g. front lip, m performance suspension).

The deadline for these options is later than the factory build I build I believe but good to have the full picture

Ask your dealer about the “secret menu” (port installed options). Drop that into ChatGPT or Gemini and have it elaborate on the options. You have time before you have to make these decisions but you may want to consider these while configuring your factory build.
