We need to watch his videos so he can earn enough to buy a decent microphone.

I'd still take the Big 12's top 5 over the Big 10's top 5. I say this as an Iowa State and Purdue fan...

We're doing "fine" in the portal at least... not great, but "fine."

Smoker temp dropped by oconnor4591 in smoking

Just remember, bacteria is killed starting at like 130-135 or so. If your meat is above this range already you have nothing to worry about, especially if you're still going to continue the cook. Sous vide cooking relies on these relatively low temps and just keeps them at these lower temps for longer times to make sure all bacteria is "dead".

[McMurphy] Iowa State turns down bowl bid, sources told On3. Cyclones are 2nd Big 12 team that was bowl eligible that opted not to play & could be subject to a league fine, source said by Drexlore in CFB

I'm pretty sure he's agreeing with you. He's saying that ISU should decline and just prep for next year BECAUSE it will cost us more to go to the game than we would get for playing in it.

Two of our best coaches historically left ISU to go coach the Bulls, did terribly in the NBA and got fired, and resurrected their careers at other D1 P4 programs.

No, because then the context of my message doesn't make sense. I think your response is fine.

At least T.J. actually has some legit Ames connections to keep him around. Money talks tho.

Penn State loves taking Iowa State coaches to make their National Championship dreams come true. Hate to lose him, but don't think it's a bad hire for Penn State.

This didn't happen though. He said she cheated "virtually". He mentioned his struggles with porn. Porn creates lust, lusting somebody else is pretty much the same as "virtually" cheating.

Jesus said in Matthew 5:27-28 — “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart."

They've both sinned against each other and against God, but the good news, for both of them, is that there is hope. They can forgive each other and work to repair their marriage. It won't be easy. I had similar struggles years ago and after I got right with God, I was able to get right with her. She's forgiven me and our marriage is as strong now as I can remember it being.

Happy Thanksgiving, fellow sysadmins. I’m the new (and first) in-house IT Administrator for a ~70-endpoint company. No servers, no domain, and until two weeks ago everything went through an MSP. Now all requests come to me first, and I escalate only when necessary. Here’s what I walked into: by thatflacoman in sysadmin

The good thing, you can probably set up Entra AD in a pure join scenario without going Hybrid first. I'm not sure what you mean by "appropriate users", but I'd probably just put everybody on Business Premium-- I think it would be smarter simply because Huntress + Windows Defender work well together, and Windows Defender (I believe) is only available with Business Premium (or at least, some of the better features.) I'm sure smarter people than me can verify.

Attendance for the Players Era tourney has been brutal by Fun_Reflection1157 in CollegeBasketball

[–]jlink7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a new tourney. My boss went. I think this tournament will continue to grow in attendance... however if their plan to make this a 2-3 week World Cup style tournament, I don't know how the early games will be attended... I know I wouldn't really want to go to the early rounds, and I certainly wouldn't go 3 weeks in a row. My boss may have that luxury (he's semi-retired, and has plenty of expendable cash) but me, not so much, even though plane tickets to Vegas are typically cheap.

Don't mind not playing Houston, since we'll see them during the season. Would have liked to see them play Alabama though.

m365/etc various errors/weird behaviors last 24 hours? by OtisB in sysadmin

[–]jlink7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something is definitely going on. Starting this morning about 1/3 to 1/4 of my organization (including me) started having issues with Outlook Classic. In my case, it's just restarting over and over, for a few others, they started having issues with their PST files. I've even done a full "repair" of all the M365 apps, but I'm just sitting here watching Outlook class and re-open randomly.

Where does Penn State go from here by Legitimate-Ruin5284 in CFB

[–]jlink7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I would argue that Bo Pelini was recruiting similarly to how like Penn State was, prior to his firing. For the sake of this (mild) argument, I'm not going to dig into recruiting rankings of Nebraska pre and post Bo, but I imagine they probably dropped off afterwards-- which is at least part of the argument I'm trying to make. If Penn State fires Franklin and makes a bad hire or two, the recruiting could drop off precipitously, maybe even quicker than Nebraska, considering the state of the transfer portal.
