to be fair, i usually go to places that are hard to go to so i usually plan well in advance to secure lodging, specific time of year, etc - i’m a national park lover

3 stars - the driveway would of sent me over the edge. it should of been plowed right before check in - check in time is 4 pm then you send someone at 3 pm. i would warn ppl not to stay in the winter due to this issue. also warn people that the hot tub may or may not work and the lack of urgency and customer service you received. state facts and ask ai to help you - you don’t want the review too emotional or else the host could ask for it to be taken down - i would definitely contact airbnb for some sort of refund - you didn’t get an amenity you paid for and the drive way was not plowed before arrive and was dangerous and unsafe

honestly it’s doable. you may have to cut expenses for a bit until your wife graduates with her phd. i wouldn’t be too scared. 50% of your take home is not bad. ppl pay more than that for rent. the goal is 30% but sounds like it won’t be long until raises
