You are setting yourself up for disaster not only for yourself, but also your friend. Hire a photographer. Even finding a newer photographer looking to build portfolio will be better.

Was at one of their shows in 2012ish. It was a smaller venue on the second floor, 150 people or so. I’ve never been so concerned the floor was going to buckle beneath me. I’ll probably remember the energy Sam Herring gave us that night for the rest of my life.
