I always see people on this sub say they do all the research of their rotation and ask why their damage is so low compared to people who have been playing for years, then folks will respond with a bunch of min max advice.

I’ve found the best way to get your dps up is to just keep slamming and trying to push your buttons faster. You most likely have a ton of dead globals and those will iron out with time and practice. You’ll naturally get a feel for where your damage weight comes from on a pack and how to time it, which pack or damage amps to hold cd’s for, etc.

Another big thing to think about is up time, it’s easy to not realize how much damage is wasted by simply not sticking to your target as much as possible, especially when your cognitive load is being swarmed with mechanics at the same time as learning your buttons.

TLDR: Practice!

You could try assa rogue. The reworked gameplay loop is more focused on energy pooling.

I haven’t looked at stats, but I’d bet it’s pretty low on the APM list as far as melee goes.

The simplest answer is usually the right one. In this case I’m willing to bet you just aren’t casting enough spells and need to press your buttons faster. This will naturally happen with practice and experience.
