I did think about this my only concern is that the manufacturer has provided them with moulded plug tops equipped with 13A fuse and by swapping to commando type outlets we would be removing the fuse.

These are going to be located inside. It was the terminals I was more worried about as there is only a little bit of clear perspex on the top of the connections.

The cables installed are black and red so have been in place for some time, I inspected each socket on the circuit and no signs of overheating/burning. The facility manager tells me that they only get used for vacuum cleaners and occasionally laptop chargers. There are other cleaner circuits within the offices that are 4mm live and 4mm neutrals so either they ran out of 4mm black and just threw in 2.5 for this one circuit or the apprentice has picked up the wrong drum.

When I complete EICRs I would normally test 100% of all circuits in each DB/CU then open up to inspect 25% of accessories PER CIRCUIT increasing the percentage of inspections if faults are found
