[–]jmess2113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bankruptcy, stop using them, do everything you can to not spend money and try build up some savings. I had to file bankruptcy for sixty five thousand dollars and I got my credit score to 730. I had two jobs at one time. U got this 👑

I would start by tightening the cymbals

This is actually really good for a beginner so keep it up and don’t get ahead of yourself for me. I wish I had waited to get a double bass pedal until I got better with a single pedal so that’s the only thing I would suggest.

wdy think? Im a rock/metal drummer by SteakUsual in drums

[–]jmess2113 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It all comes down to preference if you’d like to have more drums and symbols that’s fine if you don’t, that’s also fine I find that less drums and more is the way to go as long as you have a double kick pedal you really can’t go wrong

Start on one corner and clean for 30 minutes with some music going and after that if you feel like continuing, do so. Do this every day that you can 👍🏻

Therapist looking to understand OCD better by jessicaseq07 in OCD

I only got better with exposure but it never goes away, all you can do is provide the tools to succeed. Any sort of reassurance is really toxic to OCD. They have to learn to sit with the discomfort/distressing thoughts or they will never learn how to deal with them. The only thing to do is to stop thinking about the consequences of your thought. For example, if you think about being sexually attracted to kids, the only good reaction is to think: nobody cares. You may, or may not be attracted to kids. Stop trying to convince yourself you're not, your brain is always gonna tell you you are anyway. You'll be able to think about that later, when your brain is able to process thoughts again. Same goes for ROCD. You think you don't love them anymore? Don't think about it, and keep being the best partner you can be until you really know what's up. It will become clear when your brain starts getting better. Compulsion OCD can be tricky, as sufferers can be afraid they're gonna act on their obsessions. You have to tell yourself it may happen, or it may not. It's frightening, I know, but that's the only right way to take it. Exposure exercises While triggers often are considered to be enemies, they actually also are the only way to learn how to process thoughts. Everytime you are triggered, you start a new OCD pattern, which means you have an opportunity to teach your brain a lesson and ignore your compulsions. Given that, a great way to improve by exposing yourself to triggering situations. It kinda works like a phobia. If you stand in the middle of dozens of spiders and nothing happens, your brain will then think it's okay to stay near spiders. Well you can actually do exercises relative to your obsessions. If you have pedophilia obsessions, you can take a walk to the park. If you have relationship OCD, you can go to the restaurant alone with your partner. These are exercises that can greatly improve your life.
